The Local Customer Engagement organization implements strategies to drive tightly coordinated gas and electric operations for enhanced customer experiences locally with PG&E; proactive, targeted and transparent multi-channel customer and community education that reinforces the value of PG&E and mitigates potential customer concerns; and active support for large customers, local community and economic vitality. 

 

To meet and exceed our customers' diverse needs and preferences, PG&E implemented a Regional Service Model, rolling out five unique regions supported by local-level leadership 

 

Position Summary

The Regional Operations Specialist - Principal- will support both the effective deployment of the Regional Service Model and the Lean Operating System. The position reports directly to the Regional Vice President and works across senior levels of the Enterprise to remove barriers to regional planning and work execution. The position may also provide support as required for public safety initiatives associated with the Enterprise. 
 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and Fresno, CA based on business needs.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

 

This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.

 

A reasonable salary range is:

California Minimum: $125,000.00
California Maximum: $215,000.00


Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the RVP and regional senior managers in leading a cross-functional team dedicated to PG&E’s successful operations in our Hometowns. 
  • Coordinate various complex, cross-functional process improvement initiatives; provide effective project management, change leadership, team leadership, training, mentoring, and consulting to key stakeholders. 
  • Leverage expertise and skills to meet regional objectives and enhance enterprise activities. 
  • Work collaboratively with the RVP, the Regional Service Model Program Management Office team, and internal stakeholders to create a customer-centric regional structure and culture. 
  • Plan and coordinate process improvement activities to ensure consistency, cohesion, and the sharing of best practices; identify process improvement initiatives that align with the organization’s performance goals. 
  • Analyze, identify, and resolve barriers to achieving safety, customer and stakeholder satisfaction, and organizational performance goals. 
  • Coach and mentor others in lean methodologies and tools to achieve company goals and objectives. 
  • Represent the company at regulatory or community meetings and events when necessary

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • Job-related experience, 8 years
  • CA Class C License, or equivalent

 

Desired:

  • Experience working in a matrixed environment, coordinating across lines of business and at all levels  
  • Experience in change management, or related, enterprise-wide 
  • Experience in utility industry, including multiple functional areas, a plus 
  • Experience in process improvement a plus 
  • Experience applying Lean or similar improvement methodology a plus
