Position Summary

 

The Business Unit Intern role will involve an analyst’s guidance in developing proactive solutions for the Electric Equipment Repair/Insulation Testing Department. Specifically, the candidate will be involved in the development or creation of department websites. The candidate will also assist other units with processing data and reports. There will be opportunities to enhance existing business intake processes, existing reporting metrics, and creating new visuals for EER.

 

Miscellaneous: This role will occasionally be tasked with supporting high-value, innovative, proactive solutions to PG&E business units in a cost-effective way.

 

PG&E is providing the hourly rate range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.

 

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $24.52 to $35.37 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Work on multiple stages of projects including data pipeline, aggregation, website modeling and visualization.
  • Assist with business functions such as chargeback process for rubber goods department.
  • Partners with senior team members to develop proficiency in a variety of issues.
  • Assists with the more complex projects by compiling and providing technical data.
  • Prepare monthly progress reports on productivity, turnaround time, and other critical business metrics for respective assignments

 

Qualifications

 

Minimum:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an applied business or quantitative field such as Statistics, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent field during the 2025-2026 school year.
  • Must be continuing education and returning to school following the internship.
                     

Desired:

  • Previous internship, co-op, or work-related experience.
  • Python, Java, R, SQL, PL/SQL, PowerBI, SAP
  • Basic investigative skills
  • Communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Collaboration and teamwork.
  • Comfortable with computers: familiar with MS Outlook, Work, Excel and PowerPoint.
