Department Overview

Electric Transmission & Distribution ensures the delivery of clean, safe, reliable and affordable energy to nearly 16 million people in Northern and Central California. The Electric Transmission & Distribution Team is responsible for ensuring the electric grid's reliability and resiliency through the ongoing maintenance and operations of PG&E's 100,000 miles of distribution lines and over 18,000 miles of Transmission lines. Coworkers in Electric Transmission & Distribution actively engage in the Lean Methodology through the use of visual management in operating reviews to cross-functionally identify and solve problems, and create standard work. Position Summary

Oversees the creation and maintenance of electric compliance programs as well as the audit and quality activities for program monitoring and governance. Leads the creation, maintenance, and oversight of activities for both external regulatory compliance requirements and internal company requirements. Oversees the data warehousing and analysis related to compliance and the audit activities for monitoring and governance. Ensures that work is done consistent with procedures and guidelines and that group objectives are met.

  • This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

 

Bay Minimum: $128,000
Bay Maximum: $218,000

CA Minimum: $122,000
CA Maximum: $207,000

 

This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs. 

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Perform quality control review of completed Compliance Inspection and communicates the results internal stakeholders.
  • May track audit findings and the resultant corrective action plans by working with teams from the appropriate line of business to define corrective actions, to verify the completion of the corrective actions, and to validate the effectiveness of those corrective action.
  • May work with or provide information to various regulatory agencies, e.g., CPUC Electric Incident Reports; CPUC Inspections; CPUC audit reports; CAISO maintenance inspections; FERC audits or investigations, and NERC/WECC Reliability Standards Compliance.
  • Develops Technology tools, QC Training curriculum, training documentation and delivers training to Specialists and other internal partners. 
  • Reviews results from quality control processes, facilitate the development of reports that show gaps and issues and ensures data accuracy. Continually identifies and propose improvements based on data results. Reviews large amounts of information to identify gaps in performance and determine corrective actions. Performs analysis and reports on quality findings for the corrective feedback process.
  • Coaches, develops and leads the team members to achieve the department goals and the individual's development objectives. Ensures quality control reviews and practices are performed consistently across all workstreams.

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

 

  • High School or GED-General Educational Development-GED Diploma
  • 5 years of experience in auditing or quality assurance
  • 2 years supervisory or project/team lead experience 
  • Travel up to 25% with occasional overnight stays

 

Desired:

 

  • Qualified Electrical Worker Journeyman Lineman

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or job-related discipline or equivalent experience

  • Demonstrated ability to perform advanced analysis of QC data and trends to assess program performance, monitor execution against procedures and regulatory requirements, and provide operational oversight of daily quality control activities, including performance management, output validation, and issue escalation, to ensure effective program delivery.

  • PMI-Project Management Institute PMP-Project Management Professional certification

  • ASQ-American Society for Quality CQE-Certified Quality Engineer Certification

  • LSS-Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification

  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel,PowerPoint, Visio and Project
