Position Summary:
PG&E’s Gas T&D Construction Cross Bore Prevention Group is responsible for the safe installation of Distribution, Transmission, and Electric underground construction related to PG&E’s Cross Bore prevention and mitigation procedure, across the entire service territory. The group provides technical expertise, project management, quality assurance and quality control for all inspections, technical documents, records review and retention for Cross Bore Prevention.
Seeking a Business Operations Specialist to support the Cross Bore Prevention group, managing hundreds of sewer camera inspections system wide weekly. Scheduling the work in the most cost and time efficient manner, making sure they are performed to meet PG&E standards and procedures and that all retained documents associated with the work are in compliance. Work is tracked and managed closely on a daily basis, regularly communicating with all lines of business at PG&E in addition to the sewer camera inspection crews
Support department and/or line of business system needs. Identify and implement process and system improvements, manage communications, coordinate and deliver trainings for essential business procedures/processes, and drive development of new resources and tools.
Majority of work will be performed in PG&E office setting with some travel for meetings and trainings. Travel required 15-20% of the time.

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.

This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs
 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
A reasonable salary range is:

Bay Area Minimum: $95,000.
Bay Area Maximum: $143,000.


Job Responsibilities:
•Manage communications
•Develop internal work procedures and initiate process improvements
•Assist Management with the leadership of key department initiatives such as system development, training and focused campaigns/initiatives
•Liaison between various departments and cross functional teams
•Influence decisions, providing recommendations for change that will lead to the success of company goals and cost effectiveness
•Research and data analysis; compile and prepare reports for upper management
•Utilize system and personnel resources to successfully address inquiries from internal business partners
•Support organization as a subject matter expert by providing information and direction to resources through various delivery channels
•Develop and manage trainings to enhance knowledge and job skills
•Participate on cross functional teams
•Advanced knowledge of department and/or line of business function and responsibilities
•Advanced knowledge of internal business partner functions and tools and resources used to perform job duties
•Develops new approaches, processes and tools by modifying existing solutions
•May serve as a team lead teams to develop new products or improve processes
•Manages a complex project or initiative that may combine elements of multiple stakeholder groups and may work at the
manager level. Presents findings and recommendations to function management
•Solves moderate to complex problems and takes a new perspective on existing solutions.
•Works independently with limited guidance.
•May be responsible for managing budget expenditures


Qualifications:
Minimum:
•Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field or equivalent experience
•Typically requires 5+ years of related experience or equivalent
•Valid CA drivers license required

•Ability to communicate findings and recommendations at the Manager level
•Advanced understanding of MS Office
