Electric Operations ensures the delivery of clean, safe, reliable and affordable energy to nearly 16 million people in Northern and Central California. The Electric Operations Team is responsible for ensuring the electric grid's reliability and resiliency through the ongoing maintenance and operations of PG&E's 100,000 miles of distribution lines and over 18,000 miles of Transmission lines. Coworkers in Electric Operations actively engage in the Lean Methodology through the use of visual management in operating reviews to cross-functionally identify and solve problems, and create standard work. Position Summary


The Maintenance Planning group works on asset management processes including gathering and maintaining asset data, risk assessment, analysis, data mining for compliance reporting and program metrics. Incumbents create equipment and maintenance plans linked to specific assets in the work management system module of SAP. Incumbents meet regularly with field maintenance supervisors to create schedules and update asset records in SAP when work is completed or rescheduled.

Incumbents are typically assigned to support specific areas of transmission operations such as Substation, T-Line or the Test department.


Preferred HQ is Dublin but there may be flexibility to be based in other HQs in the Bay Area region of PG&E’s Service Territory, please note hiring leader will make final decision of what are appropriate headquarters for the role based on business need. 

 

Position will require approximately 20% of travel time in work schedule. 

 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory (Dublin/ or maybe other HQs in the Bay Area region).

 

PG&E is providing the hourly rate range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

 

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $39.43 to $59.61

 

This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.

 

Job Responsibilities

•    Applies full understanding of work management and asset maintenance to straightforward assignments. Requires guidance on general issues.
•    Receives guidance from supervisor, senior or expert peers on non-routine situations.
•    Assists with solving basic problems with clear precedents or standards requiring integration of information from a variety of sources.
•    Utilizes Work Management System in SAP to support local maintenance headquarters by tracking work orders to completion and advising supervisor on open orders.
•    References and follows the substation maintenance and construction requirements outlined in relevant documentation for installing and maintaining substation equipment for new installed or out of service equipment.
•    Follows established protocols and procedures whenever maintenance is deferred.
•    Update the maintenance plans based on test results or recommendations from the field in the SAP Work Management System per established work procedures.
•    Assists senior planner in running reports for audits, release notifications and maintenance plan optimization, focusing on standard situations and data. Escalates issues or non-standard situations to senior planner.
•    Participates in weekly and monthly scheduling calls to support local maintenance headquarters by tracking maintenance plan and equipment changes.

 

Qualifications-


Minimum Qualifications:  
•    High school diploma or GED
•    2 years of total related experience such as in work management

Desired Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
•    California driver’s license.
o    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and (Technical) Competencies
o    Basic knowledge of SAP work management module
o    Basic knowledge of utility maintenance terminology, equipment
o    General understanding of utility equipment maintenance processes and procedures.
o    General knowledge/skill in MS Office apps.
o    Proficient problem-solving skills to address straightforward issues.
o    Ability to work independently.
o    Strong attention to detail.
