Position Summary 
Owns the command and control of outage response management and directs field resources (outage, emergency first responders) involved in system-wide distribution grid for planned and unplanned events.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

 

A reasonable salary range is:

  • Minimum Base Salary (Bay Area)    $163,000.00
  • Mid Base Salary (Bay Area)    $220,000.00
  • Maximum Base Salary (Bay Area)    $277,000.00

 

Job Responsibilities 
•    Assists department in developing budget (expense, capital, and expenditures), and monitor, forecast and report on budget performance.
•    Ensures work in department is carried out using established processes, practices and procedures as directed.
•    Oversees the execution of outage restoration and response.
•    Communicate to electric operations leadership during large outage events, high outage activity, and media inquiry
•    Provide oversight and support during Enhanced Power Safety Settings and Public Safety Power Shut off events
•    Manages staff to accomplish results through effective recruitment and selection, training and development, performance management and coaching, and rewards and recognition.
•    Leads implementation of process improvements and efficiencies.
•    Collaborate and maintain partnership with IBEW
•    Lead or act as representation of control center for projects (new device installations, procedure updates, distributed energy systems) 

 

Qualifications
Minimum:
•    Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
•    8 years of job-related experience
•    3 years of leadership experience

 

Desired:
•    Experience in change management
•    Knowledge of electric transmission and distribution systems concepts, methods, best practices, techniques, and regulatory requirements as needed to perform at the job level
•    Utility industry experience, electric
•    Competency in developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences
