Department Overview

Operations Support is dedicated to creating cross-commodity consistency and standards in Operations. The team provides support services guided by best practices and a relentless pursuit for improvement. It has single points of accountability for Clerical Services, Change Control & Order Management, Performance & Process Improvement, Ops Data Analytics & Tools, and Clerical Knowledge & Skills. Operations Support is comprised of approximately 600 coworkers.

 

Position Summary

This is an International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 1245 represented classification, which has over 100 years of experience representing employees at PG&E.  This job is subject to collective bargaining.

 

 An experienced employee who has a comprehensive knowledge of the operation and procedures for the Electric Distribution Field Operations group and is engaged in performing clerical work and assisting in the administrative work for the department.

 

PG&E is providing the hourly rate range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. Under the terms of the collective bargaining agreement, the starting hourly rate range for this position is $53.96 to $59.75 subject to collectively bargained wage increases.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Clerical/administrative tasks directly in support of Electric Distribution Field Operations.
  • Coordinate various functions to facilitate the completion of job package documentation, assigning jobs to crews, receiving and dispatching customer complaints, preparing reports, reviewing timecards, processing work orders for the crews or for accounting purposes, and maintaining office files and records.
  • May coordinate the work of Assistant Leader’s Clerks.
  • A Leader’s Clerk may make deliveries to crews in the field or at a jobsite, be required to operate a forklift, when properly trained, and travel to other locations as needed.

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Physical Test Battery and Clerical Test Battery required.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Class “C” California Driver’s License.
  • Must possess a High School diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to drive safely in all weather and road conditions.
  • Ability to travel to other headquarters upon request at any time, throughout the entire PG&E service territory.
  • Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 25-50 pounds.
  • Ability to work extended hours, nights, weekends and holidays, and various work schedules.

 

Desired:

  • Ability to obtain forklift certification
  • Data Entry experience
  • SAP experience
  • Ariba experience
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Demonstrated experience with Payroll time entry
  • Demonstrated experience with Concur expense reporting
