Department Overview

PG&E’s Natural Resource Management System-wide team manages property for more than 3,000 gas, electric, telecom, and other facilities throughout PG&E’s service territory.  This program performs services system-wide for property management including, but not limited to, the services below:   
Comprehensive vegetation management assistance to internal clients including weed and brush control, brush removal, tree removal, pesticide applications and vegetation management planning.
Management and implementation of fuel reduction and defensible space programs for PG&E facilities. 
Management and implementation of an annual herbicide and weed abatement program for PG&E facilities.
Provide support for rodent and other pest control issues at PG&E facilities.
Provide support for the management of vegetation, debris, and other landowner issues for PG&E fee property.
Manage facility data and document and verify all work streams via an electronic database.
 

 

Position Summary

The Land Consultant will be primarily responsible for oversight of Property Management Services for internal clients associated with the Enterprise Safe Access Program.  The primary responsibilities of this position will be to support developing the Enterprise Safe Access Program,  managing workload, contractor oversight, project implementation and oversight, collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, and contractor safety oversight. 


This position will part of a team that supports the Enterprise Safe Access Program.  This position will work in coordination with the Access Roads Management team to provide enterprise services related to access roads. The position may be responsible for a designated area within PG&E’s service territory and will provide project in that area.  Additional responsibilities include the collaboration and contribution to the Enterprise Safe Access Program team to manage the program collectively.  


Must be able to travel 50-75% throughout PG&E’s service territory. 

 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. 

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. 

A reasonable salary range is:

 

Bay Area Minimum: $93,000
Bay Area Maximum: $139,000
&/OR
California Minimum: $88,000
California Maximum: $132,000
 

 

Job Responsibilities

• Manages most projects with limited oversight from the supervisor or more senior colleagues. 
• Authors letters, reports, or other submittals regarding small to moderate scale projects to functional area representatives. 
• Undertakes some governmental consultation with State and Federal land and wildlife agencies. 
• Concurrently manages multiple assignments of broad scope and complexity, requiring integration of information from a variety of sources. 
• Works independently with only general direction. 
• May serve as team leader. 
• Supervises contractors work and approve/process invoices 
• Provides clear direction to PG&E and contract inspectors in performance of day-to-day activities.
 

 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
• Associate degree with emphasis in natural resource management, soils, environmental resources, project management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2 years of experience in applicable subject area.
• California driver’s license.
