In Customer Channels and Services we are focused on delivering the desired customer experience for each of our customers. Everything we do starts with the customer and our information about the customer. Each of our organizations, though completely dependent upon each other, are the experts in their area and will further drive PG&Es alignment around the customer.

 

Position Summary

Processes customer payments received via US mail in a production environment. Partners with internal stakeholders to help reduce daily borrowing and interest expenses by managing deposited funds. Supervises employees and provides coaching, direction and support to ensure achievement of organizational goals and objectives.

 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business needs or company requirements. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory and will be agreed upon by the successful candidate and hiring leader.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

 

A reasonable salary range is:

 

California Minimum: $​86,000.00

California Mid-point-$107,000

California Maximum: $129,000.00

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Communicate with internal partners regarding the status of any technical issues impacting revenue, deposits or reconciliation
  • Coordinate with HR to hire employees
  • Ensure daily collections and deposits are in balance
  • Manage PG&E’s daily deposits from processed payments
  • Monthly updates with vendors and internal partners concerning issues, proactive measures and process improvements
  • Oversee security control process and ensure all employees are trained and understand the requirements
  • Process customer check payments received via US Mail and from internal and external customers
  • Recruit/select, communicate expectations, foster employee engagement, coach, develop, mentor, recognize and reward employees in order to drive performance and results. Manages union-represented employees.
  • Work with internal business partners to resolve reconciliation issues as they arise
  • Work with vendors providing system updates, application enhancements and implementation
  • Working knowledge of all hardware and equipment and of various remittance software systems, processes and applications

 

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

 

  • High School or GED-General Educational Development-GED Diploma
  • Job-related experience, 5 years

 

Desired:

 

  • Bachelors Degree in job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Leadership experience
