Department Overview

System Automation Compliance's core function is to support/monitor the compliance and/or risk management framework & tools that enable the organization and employees to conduct business in compliance with applicable standards, laws & regulations, and/or to identify, manage, and mitigate operational risk. System Automation Compliance's supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of the framework for compliance and/or risk management.

 

The team supports revisions to the compliance and/or risk programs and tools needed based on changes to applicable laws, regulations, and standards. For risk management, develop and maintain a risk register, coordinating with various risk owners to track operational & enterprise risks and the effectiveness of risk mitigation activities.

 

Position Summary

The role supports the risk/compliance framework which enables the organization to operate in compliance with applicable standards, laws and regulations; identify, manage, and mitigate operational risk; and help develop and maintain the framework in response to changes to laws, regulations, and standards. For risk management, they work with leaders to track operational risks and effectiveness of risk mitigation activities.

 

May be limited to one regulatory agency or may include multiple agencies, laws, and regulations applicable to a specific department or area of the business.

 

Disclosure:

PG&E is providing the salary range that can reasonably be expected for this position at the time of the job posting. This salary range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. 

 

The decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​ This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs. 

 

Pay Range: 

 

  • Minimum:  $86,000
  • Midpoint:  $107,000
  • Maximum:  $129,000

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Participate in root cause analyses; verify reports; audit documentation; and validate database and risk register content. Map compliance and risk requirements, controls, and mitigations to applicable guidance, and draft or revise guidance documents as needed.
  • Support responses to regulatory data requests, investigations, audits, and other inquiries. Perform compliance and control testing and validation activities and analyze risk and compliance metrics.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop controls and mitigation plans and monitor implementation and adherence. Provide support for CIP patching activities.
  • Provide support for record certification in Asset Management Platform & Services (AMPS). Support baseline updates in Appian. Support creation of change requests (CRQs) in Remedy. On time monthly evidence posting in AssurX.

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience  
  • Two plus (2+) years of relevant experience
  • Travel requirements vary depending on assigned area of business

Desired:

  • Experience in compliance, 1 year
  • Experience in risk management, 1 year
  • Experience in utility operations, or related, 1 year
