Department Overview

Shared Services is focused on ensuring the safe and services to all of our Line Of Business partners.

 

Aviation Services provides transportation for personnel within the PG&E service area and such other destinations as necessary to meet Company objectives.

 

Position Summary

This position schedules and manages fixed wing, helicopter and drone flying schedule for all aviation operations at PG&E. This includes scheduling flights using an electronic platform, revising and canceling of flights, working with external vendor for helicopter, fixed and drone services according to weather, customer, employee requests, and government regulations, and managing the crew manifest. The Senior Scheduler advises the appropriate personnel of potential delays or cancellations and monitors and tracks flights.

 

Job Responsibilities

Coordinates and communicates with the ground crews to ensure proper and safe pre/post-flight operations. Enters and maintains moderately complex data into standard systems or into spreadsheets.

Advises PG&E aircraft/helicopter pilots, aviation services management, external air traffic control and, other appropriate personnel regarding potential delays or cancellations of flights.

Schedules fixed wing, helicopter and drone flights including revisions and cancellations as needed.

Prepares, reconciles, processes and submits invoices, purchase orders, check requests and / or expense reports. Orders and maintains an inventory of items, and order new equipment or schedule service/maintenance as required. Manages, coordinates, and tracks training requirements for work group.

Assists in developing and maintaining vendor relationships.

Assists with evaluating and selecting third-party administrators and vendors and develops administrator/vendor contracts.

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

High School or GED-General Educational Development-GED Diploma

Four (4) years of related experience including office or administrative experience

 

Desired:

Complex scheduling experience

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience Job-related experience, 5 years

Experience in emergency response Experience in scheduling, flight

General office experience, or related, 5 years

FAA-Federal Aviation Administration Dispatcher certification
