Position Summary

Ensures the safety and security of the enterprise encompassing our customers, property and employees. Incumbents work with various Lines of Business in support of project management and education awareness. Incumbents also provide oversight and management of contracted security services, perform security assessments in compliance with NERC/CIP standards and serve as the main point of contact for all physical security related matters.

 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory. 

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that can reasonably be expected for this position at the time of the job posting. This salary range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. The decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​ This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs. 

 

California: $88,000​ - 121,000

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Assist in management of contract activities for area-wide installations, and explore options to reduce and identify cost savings in security applications.
  • Assist in the implementation and installation of physical security barriers, and the implementation of centralized monitoring and access management.
  • Conduct physical security surveys, perform security assessments and prepare written and provide verbal reports identifying discrepancies, recommendations for alternative security measures and actions as appropriate, and make recommendations for CSD Standards development.
  • Identify efficiencies and system problem resolutions to ensure compliance with NERC CIP standards.
  • Monitor and report unauthorized attempts to enter secure facilities to site contacts for action and timely response.
  • Use expertise of physical security measures including, but not limited to access, CCTV systems, locks, and IDS to ensure physical safety and security of facilities.
  • Work with clients, security service vendors, and private security organizations on access consolidation, field security system client- initiated projects, and IT network applications.
  • Work with each of the site CRE contacts on access issues/concerns (i.e., remote access, access card provisioning).

 

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

 

  • High School or GED-General Educational Development-GED Diploma
  • Experience in security, physical or law enforcement, 1 year
  • CA Class C License, or equivalent
  • Ability to travel using personal vehicle
  • ^Background check, NERC-North American Electric Reliability Corporation CIP-Critical Infrastructure Protection

 

Desired:

 

  • Bachelors Degree in Criminology or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Experience in cross-functional communication, corporate environment
  • Experience in critical infrastructure protection, regulated environment, 3 years
  • Experience in security, physical or law enforcement, 10 years
  • Experience in project management, 3 years
  • PMP-Project Management Professional certification
  • CPP-Certified Protection Professional certification
  • ASIS-American Society for Industrial Security PSP-Physical Security Professional certification
