Department Overview

PG&E’s Transportation Services team is responsible for operating one of the top 20 largest commercial and top 3 largest utility fleets in the U.S. Management responsibilities cover all aspects of PG&E’s owned and rental vehicles & equipment fleet, from design to disposition. The team is comprised of multiple operating departments including Field Operations, Engineering and Business Operations. Operating departments within Transportation Services are responsible for enterprise-wide management of over 13,500+ vehicles & equipment, regulatory and preventative maintenance compliance, expense & capital planning, budget and asset optimization, fuel procurement, clean air and alternate fuel initiatives.

 

Position Summary

Evaluates the effectiveness of business processes, practices and procedures. Recommends improvements to current processes, practices and procedures.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead Strategic Planning process for the department.  Develop and review content with senior leadership, facilitate appropriate meetings, ensure documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Manage metric reporting process for TS department.  Includes producing Business Process Review (BPR) slides and facilitating review meetings; maintain metric profiles; prepare huddle boards/facilitate huddle meetings.
  • Lead Supplier Diversity annual budget planning process; monthly reporting and forecasting
  • Facilitating recurring line of business working committee meetings, creating presentation materials, agendas, meeting minutes, following up on deliverables and action items etc.
  • Compiles and analyzes data, documents work process and procedures
  • Develops and tracks business process related metrics. Develops and maintains standard, custom and ad-hoc reports
  • Mature documentation of standards and procedures and process reporting
  • Manage small to mid-size projects.  Define scope, timeframes, cross-functional teams, assign tasks and manage resources and issues.
  • Actively participates and supports emergency response functions for the department and enterprise

 

Qualifications

Minimum

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • 4 years business analysis and reporting experience

 

Desired

  • Competency in planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals
  • Ability to apply project management theories, concepts, methods, best practices, and techniques as needed to perform at the job level
  • LSS-Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
  • Strong analytical and writing skills to justify process changes
  • Strong presentation and communication skills to deliver findings and recommendations to various levels of management
  • Adaptable to changing business conditions and ambiguity
