Job Summary

The Compliance Data Analyst researches, links to, and refines sources of information throughout the company to support the audit process, to maintain database(s) of audit findings and corrective actions, and develop reports of findings, work methods, commitments, corrective actions and other related utility information. This position also analyzes performance, identifies trends, monitors compliance with audits and identifies issues. The position may design and implement systems to collect, organize, transfer, and report data from various internal and external sources, including enterprise sources of Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Document Management, Safety, Corrective Action, and Finance information.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • act as Performance Improvement and Monitoring Lead for Transmission Compliance
  • Maintain Transmission Compliance Regulatory Action Tracker with exceptional accuracy
  • Monitoring the status of regulatory deliverables for all NERC Standards
  • Develop routine communications/newsletters to NERC Standard Owners
  • Participate in CRT, screening and flagging T-Compliance Concerns
  • Perform quality closure reviews for T-Compliance issues (spot checks of CEs, WGEs, etc.)
  • Lead Future Enforceable Standards monitoring for T-Compliance
  • Manage Compliance Performance monitoring activities (trending, performance indicators, industry alignment, benchmarking, operating experience/lessons learned, CAP adherence, etc.)
  • Drive / coach organization on the use of CAP for Compliance
  • Monitor data sets for signs of decline in performance and provide recommendations for action as appropriate

 

Special Projects / Infrequently Performed Activities:

 

Lead logistical aspects of external audits, assessments, and necessary department meetings

Develop and present T-Compliance training material

Maintain T-Compliance Qualification and Training Matrix

Participate in Cause Evaluations or Assessments as needed

Lead CAP Improvement efforts for T-Compliance

Procedure creation / revision as needed

Manage leadership requests/special projects as needed

 

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

 

Minimum

High School or GED

3 years of experience in using data analysis tools or as a data analyst.

 

Desired

Demonstrates full understanding of fundamental technical/professional concepts.

Full understanding of data processing and analysis techniques.

Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Proficient with database management and queries

Proficient with Microsoft Access or SQL
