Department Overview

The Human Resources department is committed to providing PG&E employees with the tools, information and services to help deliver safe and reliable gas and electric service to our customers. PG&E's Talent Acquisition and Mobility department is a dynamic group within the Human Resources organization that focuses on strategically aligning itself with the lines of business to identify, recruit, and acquire top talent.

 

 

Position Summary

This position will work in a team-oriented environment and will provide support to multiple Recruiters in the Executive Recruiting Delivery team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, sense of commitment and a desire to succeed. The candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to understand sense of urgency and the ability to maintain professional demeanor under pressure. The candidate will also have the ability to adapt to changing priorities while managing high-volume recruitment processes, be self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team while practicing discretion with confidential information. The successful candidate will have superior time management, organization and prioritization skills and must have the willingness to work flexible hours due to varying needs within the recruiting organization. This is a fast-paced position in a dynamic and growing organization. The successful candidate will have the ability to form successful relationships with each team member to efficiently drive the recruiting process and produce results.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Manage the candidate offer process, including background verification, pre-employment drug screens, offer approval process, SAP entry, and candidate correspondence

  • Effective communications with the company’s most senior leaders and their respective assistants.  Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriate discretion when interacting with various stakeholders.
  • Partner with Recruiters and Recruiting Manager to ensure proper execution of the hiring process

  • Coordinate interview scheduling (telephone, video, in-person)

  • Oversee travel details and communications between candidates

  • Proactively and positively respond to candidate and hiring supervisor inquiries, concerns and needs
  • Responsible for applicant tracking system maintenance, auditing, compliance, and ensuring all applicants are properly tracked
  • Manage the candidate offer process, including background verification, pre-employment drug screens, offer approval process, SAP entry, and candidate correspondence
  • Partner with other HR departments and internal customers to ensure positive transition from candidate to new hire on-boarding
  • Communicate new hire documents to candidates and hiring supervisors
  • Responsible for generating reports from the applicant tracking system
  • Provide a high degree of professionalism and customer focus
  • Prioritizes and coordinates work to ensure the needs of the Recruiters/customers and candidates are met
  • Manage confidential files and other privileged information for compliance and record-keeping

 

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

•High School or GED-General Educational Development-GED Diploma

•Minimum 6 years of administrative or related experience.

 

Desired:

•Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

•Experience in recruiting coordination

•Experience with Success Factors or web-based applicant tracking system (ATS)

•Demonstrated experience using HireRight (background check vendor)

•Demonstrated experience using SharePoint
