Position Summary 

We are seeking an Executive Recruiter who is passionate about identifying talent both internally and externally. This person should enjoy working closely with clients to achieve theirs and company goals. The Executive Recruiter will be an active participant in the development of the executive talent pipeline and will partner with senior management in support of business units. This person will be proficient at identifying and attracting high caliber talent that will align with PG&E’s values and business objectives. They will partner with HRBP, Leadership Development, Performance and Inclusion to support a fully integrated talent management model. The Executive Recruiter will also provide thought leadership on new talent acquisition tools, processes, policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to partner effectively at the Director, Officer, and Executive level, as well as strong consulting and negotiating expertise. This candidate will also have the ability to develop key relationships and will have solid business acumen. The successful candidate must have knowledge of internal recruiting systems and processes and be able to flex and adapt quickly.

 

Job Responsibilities 

  • Relationship management is at the Director, Officer, and Executive level providing strategic guidance, direction, and consultation
  • Conduct Director, Officer, and Executive level searches; develops and implements innovative recruiting solutions, services, and processes
  • Partner with other HR COE to support a fully integrated talent management model
  • Identify internal pipeline that will support the business needs and develop talent for future
  • Manage relationships with external search firms considering expected results and associated costs
  • Develop long-term executive staffing strategy in conjunction with workforce planning
  • Work with others in the recruiting department and human resources to execute on recruiting strategies and plans.
  • May lead cross functional projects for the recruiting department that have impact across HR
  • Research and advise management on industry/function best practices
  • Coach, mentor, and guide the work of other recruiters
  • Provide exceptional client service and manage the presentation, selection, offer, negotiation, closing, and administrative components involved in full lifecycle recruiting at PG&E
  • Serves as single point of contact to leaders within the Lines of Business for all recruiting matters
  • Creates and implements strategic sourcing and recruiting strategies to meet client needs
  • Initiate, develop, and maintain strong working relationships with managers, HR Business Partners, vendors, community organizations, and other HR team members to create a partnership that yields success, predictable results, and credibility
  • Conduct complete and detailed intake sessions, ensuring an understanding of job duties, responsibilities, and business requirements
  • Work with hiring managers on creating prescreening questions to assist with qualifying candidates/phone screens
  • Review resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience, and knowledge in relation to position requirements
  • Identify opportunities to positively impact diversity hiring efforts
  • Build an effective pipeline of key talent potentially available for immediate hire as succession planning needs dictate
  • Provide complete, accurate, and inspiring information to candidates about the company and position
  • Maintain accurate and well-ordered documentation on all candidates, searches, hiring manager interactions, and other recruiting activities to ensure a safe and thorough audit if required

 

Qualifications 

Minimum:

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in full lifecycle recruiting to include experience with recruitment databases and applicant tracking systems

 

Desired:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • PHR or SPHR
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with executives and conducting executive level searches
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience complying with government regulations relating to hiring practices, including but not limited to: OFCCP, EEO, and Affirmative Action
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Creative approach to diversity recruiting
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated experience coaching, mentoring and training
  • Broad knowledge of all aspects of human resource administration
  • Comprehensive knowledge of government regulations
  • Experience with in-house recruiting for large organizations (10,000+ employees)
  • Energy and utility experience
