Department Overview

The men and women of Electric Operations ensure the delivery of clean, safe, reliable and affordable energy to nearly 16 million people in Northern and Central California. Electric Operations is responsible for every aspect of PG&E's electric distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, asset management, business planning, restoration and emergency response.


The Data Response Integrity (DRI) team is a strategic and forward-looking team that delivers quality data responses and provides insights that enable the business to grow and improve.  The DRI ensures internal and external requests are managed and delivered with appropriate, accurate, consistent, and timely information.


Position Summary

The DRI Case Analyst, Expert is responsible for supporting the Case Managers and Leads by driving and executing the case management process for the DRI Case Management team.  This role requires extensive use of influence leadership to track discovery responses immediately following intake to completion.  The DRI Case Analyst, Expert looks for roadblocks and works relentlessly to clear them.  The analyst may also support the DRI PMO team with reporting, data management, intake, priors research, and production


Job Responsibilities

  • Identifies, defines and implements best practices and a unified vision associated with DRI case management needs, particularly in the areas of assigning and tracking work
  • Identifies, develops, and manages a robust set of metrics that support leadership and team insights related to the progress, effectiveness, and quality of the overall process and assigned work
  • Develops case management guidance and practices for use by this role and the broader team
  • Performs benchmarking both internally and externally to identify and implement best practices
  • Develops innovative data solutions to address complex business issues
  • Applies advanced knowledge to wide-ranging issues
  • Develop business cases in support of strategy or change initiatives
  • Provides direction, leadership, consistency in how work is managed in the program
  • May provide direction and coaching to other Business Analysts, including prioritizing daily tasks
  • Works with and leverages relationships with Directors and Managers across functions / PG&E
  • Provides back-up and vacation relief for team case managers
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Job-related experience, 4 years
  • Graduate Degree or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of Electric Operations’ processes and practices
  • Proven track record of successfully leaning into conflict and resolve bottlenecks
  • Experience using Excel, SharePoint and other tools to track and organize large amounts of information
  • Knowledge of what makes documents privileged, confidential, BCSI or subject to NERC/CIP requirements
  • Highly proficient computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office applications)
  • Ability to work with a dispersed and large team in a deadline-driven work environment
  • Significant demonstrated experience of being able to influence and lead others through what can appear to be competing demands of timely, quality and complete work 
  • Proven track record of seizing opportunities to improve work processes – both the quality and efficiency of work
  • Experience with data visualization tools, including Tableau and Microsoft Power BI
