Position Summary

Integrated Planning Process

  • Work with a small group to continuously improve, facilitate, and govern PG&E’s Integrated Planning Process, including Executive Guidance, the operating plan, and 2-year execution plan:
    • Drive development of the Company’s Executive Guidance, methodically incorporating feedback from the VP of Business Finance and VP of Strategy, and ultimately obtain buy-in from the CEO, Presidents, and CFO around the goals and process for delivering the guidance to the Company.
    • Develop and communicate the overall enterprise planning calendar, including key Company milestones such as Board meetings, IPP Session dates, and LOB deadlines.
  • Support the overall enterprise annual planning processes, including building a narrative that enables LOB teams to respond to Executive Guidance and drives decision making across operational strategy, capacity, budgets, and metric selection.
  • Actively work with all LOB planning teams as they develop their annual plans, and facilitate workshops to drive alignment across the plans.

Collaborate with other key process leaders to integrate safety, risk, compliance, workforce planning, rate case planning, demand alignment between support organizations and business lines, and IT project governance, among other coordination opportunities.

 

Qualifications:

 

Minimum

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience or training
  • Job-related experience, 8yrs

 

 

Desired

  • Master's degree
  • Job-related experience, 10yr

     

     

Responsibilities

  • Provides guidance and strategy in developing budget (expense, capital, and expenditures) and monitor, forecast and report on budget performance.
  • Plans and oversees the preparation of long-term financial forecasts for leadership.
  • Performs complex quality assurance on data to ensure accurate data is used in reports, and resolve issues as needed.
  • Leads complex and major projects which may be cross functional.
  • Work on unique and complex problems having broad impact that require in depth analysis and judgment to obtain results or solutions.
  • Conducts highly complex root cause analysis and develops corrective actions to resolve deficiencies.
  • Provides guidance on using or enhancing existing financial models and/or developing new models for analysis and reporting.
  • Responds to data requests for areas such as incident investigations, compliance and regulatory audits, or customer inquiries.
  • Develops and implements effective business strategies in support of the company and department.
  • Provides guidance to others regarding the interpretation of policies, reporting requirements, rules and regulations.
  • Mentors and provides guidance to less experienced colleagues.
