Department Overview

Electric Transmission & Distribution ensures the delivery of clean, safe, reliable and affordable energy to nearly 16 million people in Northern and Central California. The Electric Transmission & Distribution Team is responsible for ensuring the electric grid's reliability and resiliency through the ongoing maintenance and operations of PG&E's 100,000 miles of distribution lines and over 18,000 miles of Transmission lines. Coworkers in Electric Transmission & Distribution actively engage in the Lean Methodology through the use of visual management in operating reviews to cross-functionally identify and solve problems, and create standard work. By working together as One Electric. One Team. We are delivering for our hometowns. Electric Transmission & Distribution is comprised of approximately 6,500 coworkers.

Position Summary

Conducts research, data analysis, budgeting, forecasting and reporting in support of business decision making, strategy and operations. Participates in business process improvement, quality control and other initiatives. Develops, manages and coordinates performance and quality assessment, business process re-engineering, change management, communication and training. Develops and implements workforce planning and analytics using data visualization tools, gathers and analyzes operational and financial information, and conducts various analyses

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location is flexible within the PG&E Service Territory.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $122,000
Bay Area Maximum: $194,000

OR
California Minimum: $116,000
California Maximum: $184,000

Job Responsibilities

• Applies advanced knowledge to wide- ranging issues.
• Develop business cases in support of strategy or change initiatives.
• Develops innovative data solutions to address complex business issues. Presents findings and proposed recommendations to leaders.
• May provide direction and coaching to other Business Analysts.
• Performs analysis on highly complex data models that have cross- functional impact.
• Works with and leverages relationships with Directors and Managers across functions / PG&E.
• Problem Solving: Ability to break down complex business problems and deliver actionable solutions. 
• Develops and maintains workforce planning models. Incorporates actual and projected internal workforce changes and external labor market factors into Power Bi models

Qualifications

Minimum:

• Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
• Job-related experience, 6 years

Desired:

• Experience in strategic planning, or other related
• Operations experience in gas and/or electric 
• Utility industry experience
• Experience in communication
• Experience in regulatory environment
• Resource planning experience
• Experience Power Apps and Power Automate 
• Experience in creating Lean Data Visuals 
• Familiarity with predictive analytics, statistical modeling, as applied to workforce data.
• Advanced user of Excel, with the ability to learn new tools and technologies as required.
