Department Overview

PG&E’s Underground Program organization is working to reduce wildfire risk each day as we underground 10,000 miles of distribution lines.  We are responsible for working across all internal teams and engaging external stakeholders to support successfully meeting our goals and reducing wildfire risk in our hometowns.  We work in an exciting and fast-paced environment.

 

Position Summary

Conducts research, data analysis, budgeting, forecasting and reporting in support of business decision making, strategy and operations. Participates in business process improvement, quality control and other initiatives. Develops, manages and coordinates performance and quality assessment, business process re-engineering, change management, communication and training.

 

Disclosure:

PG&E is providing the salary range that can reasonably be expected for this position at the time of the job posting. This salary range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. 

 

The decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs. 

 

Pay Range: 

 

  • Minimum:  $114,00
  • Midpoint:  $148,00
  • Maximum:  $182,00

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and develop custom business solutions using Microsoft Power Platform tools including Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate. Leverage Python for data transformation, automation, and integration tasks within reporting and analytics workflows. Applies advanced knowledge to wide- ranging issues. Develop business cases in support of strategy or change initiatives. Develop innovative data solutions to address complex business issues. Presents findings and proposed recommendations to leaders.
  • Performs analysis on highly complex data models that have cross- functional impact. Applies advanced knowledge to wide- ranging issues. Performs analysis, visual management on a wider range of program performance metrics. Compile granular project level cost analytics as well as overall unit cost calculations. Research, develop, & maintain data models used for steady state or ad hoc reporting. 
  • Facilitation of program/project change control processes. Assist with review, compilation, response to data request from internal and external stakeholders. Develops innovative data solutions to address complex business issues. Presents findings and proposed recommendations to leaders. Develop business cases in support of strategy or change initiatives. Works with and leverages relationships with Directors and Managers across functions / PG&E. Manages cross-functional projects or initiatives. May provide direction and coaching to other Business Analysts.

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Six (6) Years of Job-related experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, Python, Power Apps, and Advanced Excel.

Desired:

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Power Platform
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Graduate Degree or equivalent experience
