Department Overview
T&S is responsible for the maintenance and construction of the Electric Transmission system, Project and Construction, Generation Interconnections, Work and Resource Management, Compliance and Temporary Generation departments. The Coworkers of Electric Transmission and Substation Operations ensure the delivery of safe and reliable electric service to our customers.
Position Summary
Coordinates and assembles work and resource plans that align with the budget plan. Monitors weekly and annual execution of the work plan by the Electric Operations Transmission execution organizations. Understands the effectiveness of, and recommend improvements in business process, practice, and procedures as they relate to the identification of known work and work management data quality in the various work management systems.

PG&E is providing the salary range that can reasonably be expected for this position at the time of the job posting. This salary range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location.
The decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.
Pay Range:
- Minimum: $116,00
- Midpoint: $150,00
- Maximum: $184,00
Job Responsibilities
- Anticipates issues and develops innovative solutions to enhance controls and mitigate risks. Leads peers and stakeholders to develop a prioritized and optimized long range and annual work plan portfolio.
- Leads, tracks and reports on work progression. Supports assigned region to achieve efficiencies, and initiates partnerships to develop integrated work plans and communications.
- Ensures effective work & resource planning and scheduling for the service territory, and ensures resources align with budget. Assists in the development of contingency plans for the portfolio of work in the annual and long-term plans.
- Presents findings and makes recommendations to management or others within organization. Manages major cross-functional projects and initiatives. Organizes and leads cross-functional project teams to influence utility, regulatory and/or industry decisions. Facilitates development of new and innovative work & resource planning solutions, tools, and processes.
- Leads and participates on special initiatives teams as work planning subject matter expert. Organizes and leads cross-functional stakeholder meetings to assure work readiness if work and financial plans require adjustment and recommends adjustments, as necessary.
- Demonstrates understanding of end-to-end process (workflow) knowledge of at least two work streams and a working knowledge of the companion work management system or systems.
- Identifies issues such as actual cost or resource data outside of plan. Investigates to determine cause of variance, reaches out to stakeholders, and recommends actions to correct.
- Evaluates the associated resources needed to execute work plans. Establishes a baseline strategic approach to work plan execution. Develops new reports as needed to track and refine work plan portfolio and execution analysis.
- May be called to participate in STOEC/EOC/REC during major emergency activations.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
- Seven (7) years of job-related experience with steady progression of responsibilities.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Desired:
- Utility industry experience, or related
- Strong attention to detail, ability to analyze data and identify discrepancies
- Ability to analyze data from several sources and identify, articulate, and present the business impact
- Proficient critical thinking skills to address straightforward issues.
- Ability to work independently with limited oversight
