Department Overview

Coworkers of Electric Operations ensure the delivery of safe and reliable electric service to our customers. Electric Operations is responsible for every aspect of PG&E's electric distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, asset management, business planning, restoration and emergency response.

 

Position Summary

Manages ESC employees involved in ensuring scheduling adherence. Ensuring the schedule is following the plan using the guidance of planners.  Follows up on all critical work to set our construction team for success. Adheres to the work plan. Assists with our internal partners on escalated jobs.

PG&E is providing the salary range that can reasonably be expected for this position at the time of the job posting. This salary range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. 

 

The decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​ This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs. 

 

Pay Range: 

 

  • Minimum:  $123,00
  • Midpoint:  $160,00
  • Maximum:  $197,00

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Creates and maintains documentation related to procedures and processes. Works to address the needs of customers and develop comprehensive solutions/offerings that address complex needs across all customer segments. Monitors and ensures closure/completion of projects and/or other programs work orders. Develops a safety culture that is accountable for decisions and provides messaging regarding safety. 
  • Participate in onsite tailboards or group discussions to ensure the safety and productivity of all workgroups and to minimize changes to scope, cost or schedule. Fosters teamwork, and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members. Leads the responding and resolving field troubleshooting requests. Visits work sites to monitor operations.

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • High School or GED- Diploma
  • Five (5) Years of experience in a job-related or technical environment
  • CA Class C License, or equivalent

Desired:

  • Cluster-Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Associates Degree in Engineering or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Utility industry experience, electric
  • Experience as Lineman, journey-level
