PG&E’s Underground Program organization is working to reduce wildfire risk each day as we underground 10,000 miles of distribution lines.  We are responsible for working across all internal teams and engaging external stakeholders to support successfully meeting our goals and reducing wildfire risk in our hometowns.  We work in an exciting and fast-paced environment. 

 

Position Summary

Acts as a liaison between the work stream manager and other leadership throughout the organization. Provides planning, strategic analysis, and operational support. Facilitates, directs, and coordinates activities and special projects related to the operations of the work stream. Solves problems, mediates disputes, and addresses issues before they are escalated to the manager. Builds effective partnerships and promotes collaborative relationships throughout the organization. Measures and analyzes performance and supports process improvement and lean management.

PG&E is providing the salary range that can reasonably be expected for this position at the time of the job posting. This salary range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. 

 

Pay Range:

 

  • Annual Minimum:      $122,00
  • Annual Midpoint:    $158,00
  • Annual Maximum:     $194,00

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and integrate the planning/forecasting, performance management, and risk management activities across projects and programs to achieve strategic and business objectives.
  • Evaluate project/program performance based on established business metrics (project/program and portfolio level). Prioritize issues and facilitates/takes corrective actions, as appropriate. Work with senior management to support strategic resource planning support.
  • Support the workstream, in analyzing costs and making recommendations on cost reduction initiatives based on data. Analyze work processes & progress and make recommendations on how to integrate and improve processes.
  • Provide metric performance summary to senior leaders within the program and identify gaps to targets along with drivers and catchback plans on a weekly/monthly/annual basis.
  • Ownership and maintenance of Distribution Operations Toolset program reporting data such as planned mileage accuracy, reporting year, and align allocations of units where applicable
  • Point of contact and SME for IAuditor tool for onboarding and creation/updating of templates as needed by business requirements of function teams.
  • Support key reporting needs related to civil construction such as forecasted construction progress, actualized progress, as well as delays.
  • Provide analysis for workload efficiency and making recommendations on future resource needs based on the data. Support special projects to resolve urgent issues; may lead small to midsized special projects. Gather, compile and provide data, reports,

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Seven (7) years of Electric or related industry.
  • May travel up to 20% visiting other offices.

Desired:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Experience in capital management
  • Experience in gas industry, or related, 8 years
  • PMI-Project Management Institute PMP-Project Management Professional certification
  • Experienced in undergrounding electrical projects
  • Experienced in civil construction processes
  • Advanced Excel knowledge
