Department Overview

The mission of Information & Records Governance is to drive the reliability, availability, and compliance of PG&E’s records and information assets by providing transparent governance, consultation, and practical tools. Specifically, the Electronic Content & Disposition (ECD) team leads cross-functional projects related to PG&E’s electronic content repositories that support the mission.

 

Position Summary

Oversees projects related to Information and Records Governance technology. Manages teams of Project Managers, Business Analysts, and Business Systems Specialists who assess, evaluate, and implement enterprise-wide applications for information, data, and records management in collaboration with IT partners and vendors. The successful candidate will assist the Information & Records Governance department achieve its vision of helping internal customers develop and sustain repeatable processes that produce reliable information, data, and information. This will support PG&E’s mission of delivering for our hometowns, serving our planet, and leading with love while leveraging exceptional leadership and 

 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. 

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. 

A reasonable salary range is:

 

Bay Area Minimum: $126,000
Bay Area Maximum: $200,000
 

 

Job Responsibilities

Perform supervisor and administrative duties ranging from DORs, WORs, one-on-ones, and timecard review/approval to attending leadership meetings. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•    Collaborate with peers, managers, and directors to secure stakeholder support and remove project obstacles.
•    Advocate for end-users and business process owners by understanding their needs and requirements.
•    Contribute to defining, reviewing, and approving requirements that meet enterprise guidance standards and procedures.
•    Stay updated on best practices in business analysis and project management concepts, methods, and techniques.
•    Identify process gaps and promote the standardization and documentation of processes.
•    Implement the PG&E Lean playbook to enhance quality and accuracy across various workstreams.
•    Reduce waste and streamline processes to emphasize simplicity, efficiency, accountability, and customer satisfaction.
•    Support team morale and foster a positive work environment while ensuring physical and psychological safety for the team.
•    Set and track Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to improve team performance and align with organizational goals.
•    Oversee staff training, development, and performance management.
 

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

•    Bachelor of Science in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
•    5 years total relevant experience in business analysis or business management in the utility industry or 3 years of supervisory experience of business analysts.
 

Desired:

•    Participation in projects of medium to high complexity.
•    Continuous education in IT and business specific areas.
•    Prior experience with active mentoring/coaching reporting relationships, resource planning, setting goals and assignment of projects, process improvement, managing performance, leading cross-functional teams, influencing others, decision-making, change management, and communications.
•    Technical Aptitude: Solid understanding of technical aspects relevant to the project, enabling practical guidance and support for technical teams.
•    Problem-solving: Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills to identify issues, develop creative solutions, and implement effective resolutions.
•    Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to thrive in rapidly changing environments, quickly adjusting strategies and approaches as needed.
•    LEAN: Experience implementing lean methodologies to streamline processes, reduce waste, and improve project efficiency.
•    Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey information, expectations, and feedback to team members and stakeholders.
•    Change Management: Proven expertise in managing and guiding teams through organizational changes, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions.
•    Project Management Professional (PMP) or other project management certification is preferred.
•    Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification from the International Institute of Business Analysis is preferred.
•    Intermediate to advanced Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, and SharePoint skills.
