Position Summary

We are hiring for a University Campus Recruiter who will work to support and execute summer intern and associate level hiring. This creative and passionate recruiter will have experience in effectively and efficiently collaborating with team members who shape and lead the Summer Intern Program, hiring for rotational development programs and college associate level positions. In addition, you will collaborate with the team to support retention of these new to industry hires. You will also have prior experience in recruiting for a variety of levels and industries while demonstrating the ability to adapt to changing priorities while managing high-functioning recruitment processes.

 

Within the university recruiting function, responsibilities include attending on-site career fairs, engaging with hiring leaders to discuss recruitment processes, and building relationships with intern candidates. You will be responsible for two business segments involving associate-level hires, specifically entry-level, full-time positions. This approach facilitates the conversion of interns and participants in rotational development programs to permanent employees, while reinforcing strong connections with the university recruitment channels that introduce new talent to the organization.

 

This hybrid role involves both remote work and on-site duties at the Oakland General Office, depending on business requirements. The position also requires significant travel—mainly during the fall semester—including overnight stays to participate in career events at colleges and universities across the continental United States.

 

Reporting

This role reports directly to the Manager, University Programs and will work closely with a Senior Program Manager and Expert University Programs Recruiter.

 

Job Responsibilities

Develop and maintain relationships with hiring leaders in their line of business and be knowledgeable about the various jobs, business objectives, and business of that business.

  • Relationship management is typically at the Manager and Director level. It is the recruiter’s responsibility to be responsive to the leader and help guide the recruiting motion, staying within hiring guidance and mitigating risk to the company.
  • Develop an advanced understanding of the line of business supported so that you are able to develop, manage, and lead specific recruiting strategies and plans.
  • Monitors the progress and success of recruiting and sourcing plans and strategies and develops and presents specific recommendations and actions to line of business and recruiting leadership in support of strategic objectives.
  • Builds and maintains pipelines / sources for talent acquisition for unique or specialty roles.
  • Partners with Manager on workforce planning and forecasting to better serve the line of business and advance University Programs’ agenda.
  • May lead smaller project teams within the recruiting department on small to mid-size recruiting related projects. Some of those projects may be conducting “info-sessions” with students; organizing special events to facilitate connections; facilitating mentor-intern connections; having a key role in annual Intern Appreciation Day, among other team building work.

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • 5+ years of related experience in university recruiting.
  • High School Degree or GED-General Educational Development-GED Diploma

 

Desired:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Prior project management experience in an early careers function desired.
  • Existing relationships with top tier higher education institutions; and/or experience with attending and presenting the company in the best light at career fairs
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver presentations
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain various productive candidate sourcing channels
  • PHR or SPHR certification

 

Compensation

PG&E is providing the full salary/pay range for this position. The actual amount paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. The range to reasonably expect will be around the minimum and the midpoint. The final decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to the factors above. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs. 

 

Bay Area Min: $98,000

Bay Area Mid: $122,000

Bay Area Max: $146,000
