Department Overview

The Utility Partnerships and Innovation (UPI) team drives transformative, scalable solutions to propel California towards an affordable, resilient, and 100% clean energy future. The UPI teams are responsible for developing and implementing policies, strategies, solutions for electrification & decarbonization, load management, and grid innovation.

 

The Strategy Alignment and Portfolio Management team within UPI supports business functions and optimizes the UP&I portfolio of work to ensure the organization operates efficiently and maximizes the strategic impact of its work.

 

Position Summary

This position will report to the Director of Strategy Alignment and Portfolio Management and will work closely with the UPI Chief of Staff on various workstreams in support of the VP Office.  

 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location is in Oakland, CA.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that can reasonably be expected for this position at the time of the job posting. This salary range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. The decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​ This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.  

 

A reasonable salary range is:

Bay Area: $102,000.00 to $145,200.00

 

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

  • Support UPI team meeting management, including developing material preparation schedule, working with UPI team members to source content, and helping to facilitate meetings.
  • Support UPI business performance, including maintaining financial, risk, compliance, and performance data and tools, developing concise and engaging summaries for internal and external stakeholders, and assisting in contract management.
  • Assist in developing communication materials for VP office.
  • Develop and maintain VP office standards and procedures.
  • Support additional ad hoc projects as needed.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
  • 6 years of relevant experience.

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of project and program management concepts, methods, and practices.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with peers across multiple organizations.
  • Analytical problem solving and decision-making ability.
  • Utility and/or clean energy industry experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of organization.
