Within the Electric Risk & Compliance organization, the Data Quality & Analytics team provides data analytics capabilities and platforms that enable effective responses to regulatory inquiries about customer affordability, system reliability, and public safety. The team works cross-functionally across the Electric Risk & Compliance organization to enable data driven decisions by applying industry-leading machine learning (ML), and GenAI. Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated IT Application Support Analyst Senior who can support AI agents, Microsoft Power Platform workflows, and data platform operations of this team.  You will work closely with clients to understand their business requirements and help translate these into effective application features that provide a seamless user experience. You will make contributions throughout the lifecycle of application development, including design, configuration and development, testing, release coordination, maintenance, and support.

 

The selected candidate must live within PG&E’s service territory.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​

 

A reasonable salary range is:

Minimum Base Salary (Bay Area)            $118,000.00

Mid Base Salary (Bay Area)        $153,000.00

Maximum Base Salary (Bay Area)           $188,000.00

 

Minimum Base Salary (California)         $112,000.00

Mid Base Salary (California)      $145,000.00

Maximum Base Salary (California)        $179,000.00

 

Job Responsibilities Specific to the Role

Work Scope Provides input and helps diagnose production issues. Development Frameworks and Coding Standards. Coordinates work across internal and external teams as needed. Understand and ensures adherence to Change management and release management processes when implementing fixes to production. Responsible for upgrades and deployments. Applies professional technical concepts of particular field, procedures, and techniques.

 

Problem Solving: Proactively addresses and rectifies application failures. Troubleshoots and deploys complex fixes to production. Assignments are based on extensive knowledge of coding concepts, principles or practices in a specific discipline, field or area of expertise. Resolves application programming problems of broad scope within procedural guidelines. May seek assistance from the supervisor or more skilled programmers/analysts on unusual or especially complex problems that cross multiple functional/technology areas.

 

Internal/External Contact: May attend client meetings on behalf of team or manager.

 

Collaborates with Programmer Analysts to maintain current production functional and technical design documentations.

 

Responds to requests for data queries, researching file structures and technical documentation.

 

Platform Support: Supports existing Microsoft Power Platform solutions (Power App, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, etc.) to improve business processes, workflow, and automation. Supports existing Palantir Foundry platform solutions, including workflows, ontologies, data pipelining, data integration, data modeling, and application design.

 

AI Agent Support: Owns the ongoing monitoring, support, and continuous improvement of AI Copilot agents, including tracking agent performance, data quality, and user adoption; troubleshooting production issues; managing enhancements and releases; and iterating on prompts, workflows, and integrations.

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • 4 years of programming support and analysis experience.
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience and/or field of study.
  • Advanced understanding of troubleshooting and maintaining software, how it works, and how it often breaks.

 

Desired:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Proven knowledge with programming support principals to enhance and maintain system performance.
  • Multiple programming languages experience.
  • May require certification applicable to the application being supported.
  • Ability to create complex test beds, create test scenarios, create regression tests, document and assess software reliability.
  • Ability to enhance the end-user experience.
