Executive Protection Department is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of high-profile individuals within the organization, including executives, Board members, and other key personnel.  Through a combination of intelligence-driven risk assessments, threat monitoring, and strategic security measures, the team ensures a proactive and adaptive approach to executive safety. Focused on discretion and rapid response, the Executive Protection Department plays a critical role in safeguarding the organization’s leadership and maintaining business continuity.

 

Position Summary

 

The Senior Executive Protection Program Manager will develop and implement the strategic plan and program design for the Executive Protection Team. You will conduct research and benchmark with peers to ensure the Executive Protection Team has the most up to date standards and procedures, training, equipment, and tactics to keep the CEO safe from harm. You will ensure all appropriate records and certifications are completed and maintained in accordance with Federal and State laws, as well as company policy.    

 

The role is hybrid working from your remote office and in-person at the Oakland General Office based on business needs.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​ This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.  

 

A reasonable salary range is:​

 

Bay Area Minimum:             $102,000              

Bay Area Maximum:            $162,000

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Design and implement comprehensive executive protection programs and strategic planning.
  • Create, update and maintain standard operating procedures and policies for executive protection operations.
  • Conduct travel planning for Executive Protection Teams.
  • Ensure Executive Protection training and competency standards are maintained.
  • Collect and maintain operations records for company tax purposes.
  • Conduct vendor vetting and contract management.
  • Complete the analysis, testing and purchasing of executive protection equipment.
  • Conduct asset management of all Executive Protection Team equipment.
  • Asses lethal capability weapon systems and armory management.
  • Conduct scheduling assignments and travel arrangements.
  • Assist with the collection of intelligence information for advance assignments.
  • Assist in the completion of operations plans.
  • Manage program budgets and resource allocation.
  • Provide regular reporting on program effectiveness and incident metrics.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with law enforcement agencies at the local, state and federal level.
  • Complete related staff assignments, research projects, presentations, trainings and security vulnerability assessments and plans.
  • Assist in the planning of major events involving company executives, coworkers and the general public.
  • Communicate with the CEO’s Executive Assistant staff as it relates to schedules, travel agendas, and day to day operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Protection leadership.

 

Qualifications

 

Minimum:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 6 years of related program management experience
  • Experience in security, executive protection, law enforcement or intelligence related field
  • Must be able to qualify for NERC/CIP clearance

 

Desired:

 

  • A Master’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or related field
  • 10 years of work experience in executive protection
  • 8 years of work experience in program management
  • Military or law enforcement background
  • Advanced certifications in Executive Protection or Security Management
