Department Overview

Utility Partnerships & Innovation (UP&I) is responsible for the creation of transformative, scalable solutions to interlocking utility challenges through the development of third-party partnerships and the deployment of new technology that directly accelerates PG&E’s long-term strategy.  Providing leadership and oversight of non-traditional utility partnerships, R&D, solutions management, load management, electric vehicles/clean energy transportation, and business development.

 

Position Summary

PG&E’s UP&I Performance Reporting and Analysis team is looking for a Business Analyst Sr, to support invoicing and data analysis support UP&I functional area. This position will work as part of a collaborative business operations team with a service approach to internal clients.  A curious, respectful, and proactive continuous improvement mindset is a must. 

 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory. The preferred work location is Oakland, CA.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that can reasonably be expected for this position at the time of the job posting. This salary range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. The decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​ This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.  

 

A reasonable salary range for Bay Area is $98,000 to $134,200.

 

Responsibilities

  • Metrics and reporting: Assist with development and metrics of the overall UP&I organization.  This includes Power BI and Tableau.  Helps teams maintain standards and refresh existing dashboards.
  • Ad-Hoc Customer data reports
  • Translate business requirements from teams who are not familiar with customer data into queries to give them exactly what they want.
  • Develop and write code for pulling the customer data.
  • respond to data requests from regulators.
  • Responsible for invoicing activity (with both vendors and third party customers) associated with New Revenue Development’s business transactions for assigned product lines. 
  • Proactively monitor and manage key fee schedule milestones
  • Compile and analyze data and help identify trends as needed.

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor of Science in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related
  • 4 years of work experience in job related field.

Desired:

  • Previous experience with Utility customers and familiarity with CC&B
  • Experience and capability with Tableau and Power BI
  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience with Salesforce
