The Clean Energy Transportation (CET) group is focused on accelerating the adoption of clean vehicles in California. CET leads a ~$0.5B portfolio of transportation electrification (TE) programs to increase the adoption of clean vehicles in California as we work to address one of the largest contributors to climate change – and we need a motivated, organized strategic thinker to help us determine how to expand this portfolio. We serve PG&E’s customers by deploying electric vehicle programs to increase access to charging infrastructure, reduce total cost of electric vehicle ownership, educating our customers and pursuing innovative R&D on the future of transportation electrification, focused on vehicle-grid-integration.

Position Summary
In Clean Energy Transportation, you will execute projects to install electric vehicle infrastructure throughout PG&E’s territory. This work includes managing distribution electrical and commercial electrical work performed by a cross functional team of internal employees and construction contractors.
This is a journey level project management position that requires mastery of the Associate level Project Manager skills and duties and is responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects. This position has overall project management responsibility and provides a single point of contact for those projects. Uses independent judgment in applying Project Management fundamentals, working with minimal supervision. Interacts with senior internal and external contacts. External contacts include overseeing contractors and providing information to or exchanging information with third parties (e.g. Government, regulatory, or community groups).
You must be able to travel at least 20% of the time. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The preferred work location is Oakland, CA. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.
This classification is represented by Engineers & Scientists of California (ESC) currently subject to collective bargaining.
PG&E is providing the monthly rate range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, collective bargaining agreements, and internal equity. This position is subject to collectively bargained hourly wage rates. The monthly rate for this position ranges from $9,594.00 to $14,590.00.
Job Responsibilities
• Able to perform the job duties of an Associate Project Manager.
• Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team.
• Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and resolution of problems.
• Oversees and administrates low risk EPC contracts per project type table in accordance with ESC Work Oversight Committee.
• Represents PG&E to government agencies as required for assigned projects.
• Provides guidance to Associate Project Managers who are assigned Journey Level Projects for developmental purposes in accordance with the Associate Project Manager Job Description
Qualifications
Minimum:
• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or its equivalent in education and experience.
• 3 years’ experience in project management, project controls, engineering, and/or construction if internal PG&E employee, or 4 years if outside hire.
Desired:
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
• Electric transmission and distribution network and substation system knowledge.
• Strong project management skills; knowledge of project management concepts, methods and techniques.
• Working knowledge in PG&E contract management and process
• Experience in managing EPC contractors
• Experience coordinating material deliveries and clearances
• Experience with the Salesforce platform
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
