Department Overview
The coworkers of the Service Planning and Design organization (SP&D) support the company’s True North Strategy by delivering customers safe, reliable, and affordable electric and gas services in compliance with applicable regulatory and internal requirements. SP&D supports both gas and electric operations through customer project management, design and estimating, dependency, construction, clerical functions, technology and tools, training and more.
Position Summary
Position headquarters flexible within the PG&E service territory. This position is “hybrid” with an expectation of being in the office 1x month (subject to change due to business needs).
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $122,000
Bay Area Maximum: $194,000
&/OR
California Minimum: $116,000
California Maximum: $184,000
Manages aspects of program implementation and operations. . Responsibilities typically include some or most of the following in support of Program Management to ensure attainment of program metrics/objectives.
- Developing, measuring, and reporting on success of the program.
- Identifying and maintaining strong working relationships with all strategic programs and partners to support development of new technology/functionality
- Partnering with Regulatory and Compliance staff to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and support regulatory activities by supplying information for filings, data requests, and meeting with regulators.
- Identifying stakeholders and communicate within and outside of PG&E.
- Developing and/or implementing policies, procedures, and change management plans.
- Identifying new partners, technologies, and delivery channels.
Travel may be required.
Responsibilities
- Applies broad expertise and advanced knowledge to wide-ranging issues
- Works with Directors and Managers across functions to influence decisions
- Communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences using a variety of media.
- Integrates industry knowledge related to data into everyday business practices and decision making.
- Creates new and complex data models to facilitate business decisions.
- Performs in-depth quality assurance review of technology platforms
- Develops new or revises existing scopes of work and business requirements to ensure compliance standards and functionality deliverables are established and met
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in business
- 8 years of related experience or equivalent
Desired Qualifications:
- PMI-Project Management Institute PMP-Project Management Professional certification
- Ability to create compelling business cases and develop business requirements for technology functionality based on complex business environments and inputs
- Knowledge of New Business utility processes, regulatory requirements, goals and initiatives.
- Team leadership and collaboration skills.
- General financial management & budgeting skills
- Analytical problem solving and decision-making ability
- Knowledge of lean practices, project management, process improvement best practices, concepts, methods and techniques
- Strong organizational skills.
