Department Overview

Electric Operations ensures the delivery of clean, safe, reliable and affordable energy to nearly 16 million people in Northern and Central California. The Electric Operations Team is responsible for ensuring the electric grid's reliability and resiliency through the ongoing maintenance and operations of PG&E's 100,000 miles of distribution lines and over 18,000 miles of Transmission lines.

 

Coworkers in Electric Operations actively engage in the Lean Methodology through the use of visual management in operating reviews to cross-functionally identify and solve problems and create standard work. By working together as One Electric. One Team. We are delivering for our hometowns. Electric Operations is comprised of approximately 6,500 coworkers.

 

Position Summary

Manages aspects of program implementation and operations.  Ensures program is operating effectively.  Responsibilities typically include some or most of the following in support of Program Management to ensure attainment of program metrics/objectives.

 

  1. Managing relationship with and providing direction to vendor(s)
  2. Developing and monitoring budgets and forecasts
  3. Developing, measuring and reporting on success of the program  
  4. Partnering with the Marketing organization, vendors and external partners to develop and implement strategies to reach appropriate customer audience at the appropriate time
  5. Identifying and maintaining strong working relationships with all strategic programs and partners
  6. Partnering with Regulatory and Compliance staff to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and support regulatory activities by supplying information for filings, data requests, and meeting with regulators.
  7. Identifying stakeholders and communicate within and outside of PG&E    
  8. Developing and/or implementing policies and procedures
  9. Identifying new partners, technologies, and delivery channels 

 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.

 

Disclosure:

PG&E is providing the salary range that can reasonably be expected for this position at the time of the job posting. This salary range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. 

 

The decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs. 

 

Pay Range:  

  • Minimum:  $129,000
  • Midpoint:  $168,000
  • Maximum:  $207,000

 

Responsibilities:

  • Applies broad expertise and advanced knowledge to wide-ranging issues. May act as a team leader and provide direction to less experienced employees. Works with Directors and Managers across functions to influence decisions.
  • Communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences using a variety of media. Integrates industry knowledge related to data into everyday business practices and decision making. 
  • Provides others with guidance around complex industry regulatory and compliance environment and considerations.
  • Creates new and complex data models to facilitate business decisions. Provides direction on overall program. Performs in-depth quality assurance final reviews and contract drafts.
  • Develops new or revises existing scopes of work to ensure compliance standards and deliverables are established.

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in business.           
  • Eight(8) years of related experience or equivalent related experience

 

 Desired:

  • Master’s degree.
  • PMP Certification.
  • Ability to understand the business to help drive strategic decision-making and recommend operational improvements.
  • Ability to lead the most significant, most complex projects across the line of business supported (i.e., Customer Care, Human Resources, etc.).
  • Deep knowledge and expertise of business and or industry drivers.
  • Ability to lead large and complex projects working with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to create compelling business cases based on complex business environments and inputs.
