Department Overview

PG&E’s Customer and Enterprise Solutions (C&ES) organization serves 16 million residential and business customers across Northern and Central California. Our 2,500 C&ES coworkers are dedicated to delivering excellent customer experiences every day. C&ES’s customer-facing teams include contact centers; billing and payments; local customer engagement; PGE.com; and marketing and communications. C&ES is also responsible for developing and implementing internal solutions to improve business performance and processes including the Lean operating system; a companywide SAP upgrade; and strategic planning and operations.  

 

The Customer and Enterprise Solutions Business Operations, Planning and Strategy team is responsible for driving business performance, strategic planning, and providing support to the Office of the EVP. We utilize lean methodologies and tools to streamline processes, eliminate waste, and continuously improve our operations to deliver exceptional value to our customers. Our purpose is to keep our business partners informed and equipped for what’s ahead with a focus on delivering for our customers.

 

Position Summary

The Associate Product Owner supports the Customer & Enterprise Solutions Business Operations and Strategy team.   The Product Owner, Associate is responsible for reviewing, monitoring and controlling backlog work to ensure work is dispatched and completed efficiently.  This role is critical in enabling effective business performance management, planning, strategy and various business operational needs.

 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and Oakland, CA approximately 2 - 3 days per week, or more, based on business needs.

 

PG&E is providing the hourly range that can reasonably be expected for this position at the time of the job posting. This hourly range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. The decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​ This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.  

 

 

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $32.69 to $44.95.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

Lean Performance Support

  • Assist in implementing the Lean Performance Playbook, including KPI tracking and visual management boards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and standard work documentation.

 

Regulatory Support Coordination

  • Provide administrative and analytical support for General Rate Case (GRC) activities, including data tracking and document management.
  • Coordinate data request with witness teams and rate case coordinators, and subject matter experts.

 

Visual Management & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain Visual Management tools for operational performance.
  • Create and update dashboards using Power BI for business insights and reporting.

 

Other Product Owner Responsibilities 

  • Support special projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned.
  • Reviews, monitors and controls backlog to ensure work is dispatched and completed efficiently.
  • Provides product feedback and customer insight to support product development.
  • Acts as primary liaison between various departments, Stakeholders, business community, and lines of businesses.
  • Collaborates with team to work on issues, projects or activities.

 

Meeting Logistics & Coordination

  • Manage scheduling, A/V setup, and technology support for leadership and team meetings.
  • Capture and distribute meeting notes, track action items, and ensure timely follow-up.

 

Software / Office Applications:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams/SharePoint, Co-pilot

 

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

 

  • High School or GED-General Educational Development-GED Diploma

 

Desired:

 

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience as Product Owner, Agile environment, 1 year
  • Agile Certification

 

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong proficiency in Power BI, Excel, and data visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with Lean principles and performance management practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for meeting coordination and action tracking.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Competency in building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives
  • Competency in developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences
