Job Summary

 

This role provides subject-matter guidance and support across all PG&E organizations to ensure the understanding of risks, compliance requirements, appropriate controls, effective business processes, and best practices to safeguard customer and employee personal information and data. This position will work across PG&E to generate awareness of privacy compliance requirements and PG&E standards, coordinate and manage key privacy programs, and participate in the development of privacy guidance and standards.

 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location a minimum of 1 day a week or more based on business need.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that can reasonably be expected for this position at the time of the job posting. This salary range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. The decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.   

 

Pay Range display:

Bay Area – $102,000 to $145,200 annually

 

Job Description 

 

• Provides guidance on moderate policy issues with enterprise impact, leveraging internal contacts to pressure test and refine solutions to mitigate risk.

• Leads incident investigation and response for moderate potential data loss events; partners with FAs to develop and drive corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

• Consults with FAs through Privacy Impact Assessments or other channels to assess privacy risk and recommend effective controls.

• Develops or supports development of enterprise controls to ensure compliance with all relevant privacy and data protection laws and contractual commitments.

• Develops and maintains enterprise privacy standards and procedures; identifies continuous improvement opportunities.

• Analyzes relevant privacy and data protection issues including required privacy notices, regulatory filings, relevant process and infrastructure requirements, and industry trends and best practices.

• Leads moderately complex privacy projects involving multiple FAs across the enterprise.

 

Qualifications

Minimum

 

• BA/BS or equivalent work experience in business or other relevant discipline
• Job-related experience, 4 years (For example: experience with privacy, compliance, risk, audits, customer service, governance or utility operations.)
