UP&I, PG&E’s Building Electrification & Efficiency Programs (BEEP), is responsible for implementing and administering customer demand-side management programs, including energy efficiency, distributed generation, demand response, and rate option programs that help PG&E customers in Northern and Central California manage the energy use of their homes and businesses. PG&E has been a national leader in energy efficiency since 1976 and continues to recruit and develop individuals to carry the BEEP Department’s legacy of effective energy efficiency programs into the future.

 

This position is within PG&E’s Non-Residential Energy Efficiency Programs team in the Energy Efficiency group, supporting the implementation of our programs.

 

Position Summary

The Operations Program Manager is responsible for project workflow and stakeholder management in support of the On-Bill Financing portfolio. The primary tasks of the program manager are to review energy efficiency project documentation, manage the flow of loan agreements, and ensure data integrity and proper record-keeping. Secondarily, this role will be cross-trained to support the growth of Strategic Energy Management (SEM); responsible for SEM project workflow, reviewing project documentation, and issuing incentives.

 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The preferred work location is Oakland, CA. 

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that can reasonably be expected for this position at the time of the job posting. This salary range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. The decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.  

Pay range: $85,000.00 - $116,600.00

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Review pre-install project documentation to ensure compliance with program policies; coordinate revisions with external trade pros as needed
  • Facilitate project workflow by working cross-functionally with QC&C, external QA reviewers, and OBF Account Management team
  • Review post-install project documentation including engineering workbooks, project invoices, project photo verification, energy savings and loan term calculations
  • Ensure data integrity by validating project data in Energy Insight
  • Engage Energy Efficiency leadership for review and approval of OBF projects and lead the exception request workflow
  • Support OBF repayments by executing monthly program reporting and coordinating billing account updates as needed
  • Support the Strategic Energy Management Team with:
    • Managing data quality, ensuring complete and accurate project records
    • Review and validate project documentation to complete payment processing
    • Collaboration with various stakeholders (Business Energy Solutions, Technology Enablement, Policy and Reporting, Quality Control) to develop processes that meet organizational needs cross-functionally

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 yrs of related experience 

 

Desired:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Experience with Energy Efficiency programs
  • Project Management and Contract Management experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and an ability to effectively communicate with leadership and support organizations
  • Strong ability to take the initiative to work independently to achieve desired results
  • Experience working cross-functionally to deliver projects with numerous stakeholders
  • Experience in knowledge management and process improvement projects, including the ability to build and refine processes from scratch in an environment with rapidly evolving requirements
  • Experience performing analysis on large data sets
  • Understanding of Evaluation, Measurement and Verification (EM&V) concepts
  • Knowledge of EE and/or Demand Side Management programs
  • Management of regulatory compliance, planning, and reporting activities
