Accountable for asset planning and strategy, standards and work methods, and asset data management for Electric.

Position Summary

Headquarter location flexible throughout the PG&E service territory. This position is “hybrid”, with the expectation of being in office three days a week, with one day required to be in Oakland/Sacramento/Fresno (subject to change due to business needs).

PG&E is seeking an experienced regulatory compliance professional to serve as the Compliance Assurance lead for Notice of Violation (NOV) management. This role is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end NOV lifecycle, including intake, strategy development, response coordination, corrective action governance, commitment management, and executive reporting. The successful candidate will partner with Legal, Regulatory Relations, Compliance, Engineering, and Operations to develop timely, accurate, and defensible regulatory responses while driving sustainable compliance improvements and reducing regulatory and compliance risk. The position requires knowledge of regulatory compliance programs, strong investigative and analytical skills, exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, and the ability to present to, align, and influence senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

A reasonable salary range is:

Bay Area Minimum: $126,000

Bay Area Maximum: $200,000

&/OR

California Minimum: $120,000

California Maximum: $190,000

  • Serve as the Notice of Violation (NOV) process owner for Electric Compliance Assurance. Establish governance, standards and performance metrics for NOV management.
  • Identify, assess, and summarize compliance risks, including forecasting potential CPUC NOVs, and develop corrective actions.
  • Lead investigations and manage responses to NOVs related to Electric Incidents, including preparing and submitting regulatory responses and tracking commitments. Work cross functionally to coordinate SMEs across PG&E to drive alignment on response positions, corrective actions and commitments.
  • Lead investigations and manage Citation responses, including preparing submissions, tracking commitments, and coordinating payment of regulatory penalties when required.
  • Research and analyze precedent NOV responses, citations, and prior data requests to ensure consistent, accurate, and defensible regulatory positions.
  • Lead complex data extraction and analysis efforts—ensuring data quality, accuracy, and integrity—to identify trends, generate actionable insights, and support compliance decision-making and executive reporting.
