Department Overview

PG&E’s Enterprise Service Delivery department is responsible for the Company’s long and medium-term planning, asset management and design, strategy development, and service planning and design. Enterprise Service Delivery plays an integral role in helping PG&E deliver for our hometowns, serve our planet, and lead with love, with a goal of developing a safe, reliable, resilient, de-carbonized and affordable energy system for all customers.

 

Position Summary

Responsible for overseeing PG&E’s material inventory management activities, with heavy emphasis in supply planning, inventory optimization, supplier collaboration, inbound delivery coordination, and other supply management activities. Also charged with managing various process improvement projects and deliverables in support of PG&E’s Lean implementation.

 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and Oakland based on business needs.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that can reasonably be expected for this position at the time of the job posting. This salary range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. The decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​ This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.  

 

Pay Range display:

Bay Area – $128,000 to $190,000

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach and mentor employees, including performance management of results and expectations. Create an environment of ownership and accountability for both personal and departmental goals. Develop and train employees on best practices and tools.
  • Oversees material supply planning function with direct leadership responsibility for Logistical Supply Planners for the Electric Ops or Gas Ops/Meter Asset functional areas.
  • Engages in benchmarking activities and professional Supply Chain organizations to facilitate continuous improvements within the department.
  • Leads or participates in various special assignments, including but not limited to Lean Six Sigma, cross-functional process improvement initiatives, and emergency response.
  • Establishes, documents and tracks performance metrics, including identifying catch back plans to meet departmental goals. Provides regular status updates to senior management and other reporting groups.
  • Works closely with business partners and other supply chain functions to lead and or coordinate materials related activities during emergency response operations, including direct participation in Materials Transportation and Coordination Center (MTCC) or Emergency Operations Center (EOC) level response.
  • Develops and maintains policies, procedures and adequate internal controls to ensure compliance with company requirements and all applicable laws (i.e. Sarbanes-Oxley, FERC.). Participates and supports all compliance-related activities.
  • Partners and collaborates with internal clients, demand planning team, and suppliers to execute integrated demand/supply plans and ensure that service levels and performance measures are met. Communicates supply plans and strategies to all stakeholders.
  • Teams closely with Strategic Sourcing and demand planning team on managing vendor performance and improving forecast accuracy.
  • Implements formal supply planning and forecasting concepts with suppliers. Implements inventory control and management strategies that contribute to department goals of right-sizing inventory levels and increasing turns, while maintaining best in class order fulfillment rates.

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Job-related experience, 8 years
  • Leadership experience, job-related, 2 years

Desired:

  • Masters Degree in Business Administration or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Experience in supply chain, or related, 10 years
  • Leadership experience, 4 years
  • LSS-Lean Six Sigma Certification
  • APICS-American Production and Inventory Control Society certification
  • APICS-American Production and Inventory Control Society CSCP-Certified Supply Chain Professional certification
  • APICS-American Production and Inventory Control Society CPIM-Certified Production and Inventory Management certification
