Department Overview

The Finance Cost Model Governance team enables the Finance and Controllers organization to operate, record, report and manage financials. We maintain strong governance, controls, implement finance processes of the future as well as equip Operations Finance partners with knowledge, guidance and tools to be subject matter experts to their partners. This team also enables all PG&E in operational reporting and performance measurement. This involves the advisement toward business requirements gathering, conceptual design, end-user acceptance testing, and guidance on the overall improvement of applications used by Finance.

 

Position Summary

The Finance Cost Model Governance Analyst will be responsible for model management, file and value alignments, journal entry submissions, process tracking, and documentation support. The team enables the Finance and Controllers organization to operate, record, report and manage financials. This team also enables all PG&E in operational reporting and performance measurement. This involves the advisement toward business requirements gathering, conceptual design, end-user acceptance testing, and guidance on the overall improvement of applications used by Finance.

 

Positions in this job family provide oversight to the Cost Model Governance team. The team is responsible for the company’s financial data integrity.

 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and the Oakland General Office.

 

 Job Responsibilities 

  • Provides ongoing operations and maintenance support for existing functionality in one or more of the Finance Modules of SAP. This includes month end close support, end user support, training material development and delivery and troubleshooting errors.
  • Provides O&M support for all Finance applications.
  • Identifies and supports implementation of process improvements.
  • Conducts one-on-one or small team training.
  • Supports deployment of new products.
  • Creates and maintains reports.
  • Designs, configures, tests, trains end users and supports deployment of new products.
  • Manages end-to-end project tracking, including milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and status reporting to support timely completion.
  • Administers and maintains financial models to ensure data accuracy, alignment with business requirements, and compliance with established governance standards.
  • Develops, maintains, and updates team process documentation to promote consistency, knowledge transfer, operational efficiency, and audit readiness.

 

Qualifications

Minimum

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience 
  • Three years of experience including process improvement implementation, report maintenance and development, and product deployment

 

Desired 

  • SAP Certification
  • Two years in an SAP/Business Warehouse (BW) operations and maintenance support environment

 

Compensation 

PG&E provides the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​ This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs. 

 

A reasonable salary range is:​

 

  • Bay Area Minimum: $82,000.00
  • Bay Area Midpoint: $103,000.00
  • Bay Area Maximum: $124,000.00
