Department Overview 

  • SAP Center of Excellence works directly with our lines of business developing and enhancing SAP system processes and controls that run our business and serve our customers.  

 

Position Summary 

  • As part of the Profile Management and Change Control team, the IT Change Control Analysts is responsible for the execution of change management projects. Monitors the implementation of change management to ensure that the disruption of normal business operations is minimized. Continuously develops knowledge of business processes, in order to assist in identifying when changes in software applications and systems should be initiated. Facilitates and implements daily changes (e.g. business changes or new legal requirements) into production within the system once the change has been coded/configured and tested by the developer. 

 

PG&E is providing the hourly rate range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.  This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $33.65/hour to $50.96/hour 

 

Job Responsibilities 

  • Troubleshoot routine inquiries from used about application/software  

  • Assess nature and scope of problem in accordance with standards/protocols  

  • Monitor normal business operations disruptions and document issue  

  • Test software per protocol for coding errors  

  • Work with more senior Change Control Analyst on various projects 

 

Qualifications 

Minimum: 

  • Bachelor of Science in information technology, business, or related field of study 

  • 0-1 year of relevant technical, information technology or business environment internship experience 

  • Must have a degree conferred by the start date.   

  • Must have permanent authorization to work full time (40 hours a week) in the United States. PG&E will not provide visa or immigration support.   

 

 Desired: 

  • Graduating in Fall 2025 or Spring 2026. 

  • Experience with Java, AWS 

  • Utility Experience 

  • Basic knowledge of IT systems  

  • Analytical skills  

  • Ability to work on a team  

  • Good communication (verbal and written) and customer/client interaction skills  

  • Standard knowledge and experience in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), MS operations systems, and enterprise network environment
