The Enterprise Strategy & Architecture (ES&A) department is dedicated to aligning technology initiatives with business objectives, ensuring efficient resource utilization, and driving innovation. The department supports the True North Strategy (TNS) and fosters technological advancements to enhance the organization's digital capabilities.

 

Position Summary

 

The IT Business Analyst, Associate Level, will play a crucial role in supporting the ES&A department's initiatives, particularly focusing on the True North Strategy (TNS) and innovation projects. This role involves analyzing business processes, understanding client needs, and providing solutions to low-complexity business problems. The IT Business Analyst will work closely with various stakeholders to document requirements, review design specifications, and ensure alignment with business solutions.

 

PG&E is providing the hourly rate range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. 

 

This is an hourly position. The yearly pay for this position ranges from $80,000 to $120,000.

 

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Analyze low complexity business processes and information needs of the client.
  • Understand major areas of the client’s business environment.
  • Discuss requirements and deliverables with the client or the Lead BA.
  • Discuss and document alternative solutions to low complexity business problems.
  • Provide timely and professional responses to client inquiries or escalate as appropriate.
  • Document low complexity business requirements.
  • Review design and technical specification documents for alignment with business solution.
  • Perform quality reviews of test results.
  • Comply with Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and other standard process requirements.
  • Support team to facilitate communication between project teams and stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, including timelines and deliverables.

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science/ Information Systems, Business, Engineering, etc. or equivalent work experience

 

Desired:

  • Typically has 1+ years of experience in similar or related job functions (Information Technology or Business).
  • Participation in projects of medium complexity
