Position Summary

 

  • ES&A Innovation and Operations team is seeking a talented and motivated Generative AI Developer to join our innovative team. As a Generative AI Developer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing cutting-edge AI systems to solve complex problems and enhance our services. This is an excellent opportunity for recent college graduates who are passionate about artificial intelligence and eager to make a significant impact in the energy sector.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​

 

The salary range for this position is from $73,000 to $109,000

 

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Develop, test, and deploy Generative AI systems to address various business challenges.
  • Integration of Generative AI into existing systems and workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver AI-driven solutions.
  • Conduct research and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in the Generative AI space.
  • Optimize Generative AI applications for accuracy, performance, scalability, and risks.

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field of study, or equivalent experience.

 

Desired:

  • Internship or project experience in GenAI development.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Understanding of energy sector challenges and opportunities.
  • Data Science or AI/ML background.
  • Experience with integration technologies such as Mulesoft.
  • Experience with front-end technologies such as ReactJS.
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Experience working with LLMs (e.g., GPT-4, Claude), libraries (e.g. LangChain, OpenAI APIs), and agentic frameworks (e.g. LangGraph, PydanticAI, LlamaIndex).
  • Experience with transactional and vector databases (e.g. PostgreSQL).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
