The mission of the Finance organization is to deliver financial stewardship for PG&E and its customers by providing decision leadership and strategic partnership focused on driving results through financial and operational insights, while creating a rewarding work environment for our team.

 

Position Summary

The PG&E Finance MBA Leadership Development Program is a two-year rotational program that offers participants broad exposure to financial operations at PG&E and the regulated utility financial model.  Designed with two rotations through a variety of Finance departments including but not limited to Financial Planning & Analysis, Treasury and Internal Audit, Accounting, and Corporate Development, this rotational program offers participants a strong foundation for a successful career in finance with hands-on experience and insights into key aspects of utility finance. This position will bring in top MBA talent to lead complex and impactful projects, key initiatives and will have unique opportunities to influence and improve critical aspects of our business.  

At the end of their rotations, the MBA participants will be eligible to apply for a regular status position on one of the participating teams. Each MBA participant’s regular status role and responsibility will depend on his/her experience, interests, performance during the program, and company needs.

PG&E is providing salary information the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  

 

The salary for this position is $135,000.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements effective business strategies in support of the company and department.
  • Collaborates with team and leaders to work on projects or key initiatives
  • Grow and manage relationships with related business partners
  •  Create content, develop rationale and present findings to key stakeholders including senior leadership
  • Develops and tracks metrics that provide data for process measurement, business operations or risk assessment
  • Leads complex projects which may be cross functional.
  • Research and, as appropriate, develop innovative ways to improve the business model through technology and resources

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Master in Business Administration (MBA) with anticipated graduation of Winter 2024 or Spring/Summer 2025 period.
  • Job-related experience, 3 years

 

Desired:

  • Proven leadership and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Strong Excel modelling skills with experience using data to drive decisions
  • Project management experience
  • Utility and/or energy industry experience
