Department Overview

Enterprise Business & Technology Modernization is a cross-functional organization leading PG&E’s Propel program, a major business and technology modernization initiative designed to unlock customer value by simplifying collaborative work processes. Propel will migrate PG&E to the new version of SAP, S/4HANA, presenting a unique opportunity for PG&E to standardize business processes, clean the technology core, and enable innovation for breakthrough change across Engineering, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Human Resources, and Information Technology. Through a phased approach, Propel will implement process standardization, operating model changes, data improvements, SAP, and other technology applications with a focus on incrementally improving business capabilities and delivering value.

 

Enterprise Business & Technology Modernization is comprised of multi-disciplinary coworkers with deep functional and industry expertise to design and implement end-to-end business processes and technology solutions following industry-leading practices. Position Summary

The S2P Systems Analyst, Expert will play a pivotal role in PG&E’s Propel program, supporting the implementation of key supply chain initiatives as part of our broader business and technology modernization efforts. This role requires a deep understanding of Source to Pay technologies and data requirements (Ariba, SAP ECC & 4/Hana, SQL) as well as integration points to other functional areas (eg. Inventory, finance, accounts payable). The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end delivery of supply chain solutions, ensuring alignment with Propel’s goals of standardizing business processes, enhancing data quality, and enabling technological innovation.

 

Reporting Relationship 

The S2P Systems Analyst, Expert will report directly to the S2P Business Strategy, Senior Manager. 

 

This position is hybrid, working from our remote office and your assigned location based on business needs. 

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​ 

 

This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.  

 

A reasonable salary range is:​ 

 

Bay Area Minimum:      $105,000       

Bay Area Maximum:     $169,000

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Supports all project phases as representative of the procurement process in design workshops, socialization, and confirmation, business requirements for L3/L4processes.
  • Translate business requirements to technical and functional requirements.
  • Perform analysis on the fit/gap coming out of the design workshops and provide inputs based on the understanding of PG&E footprint and environments.
  • Collaborate with business teams to understand business requirements/gaps and develop technical solutions to address.
  • Design and develop IT solutions that integrate SAP modules with existing enterprise systems, ensuring seamless interoperability and data flow.
  • Identify and mitigate data risks, proposing solutions to prevent or address potential issues that could impact project success.

 

Qualifications

 

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 7 years of experience in business or Supply Chain systems development, maintenance, support report creation or analysis

 

Desired:

  • Proven track record of successfully working within cross-functional projects and teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree
  • SAP certification
  • Lean Six Sigma certification
  • 8+ years of experience in business of Supply Chain systems development, maintenance, support report creation or analysis
  • 2+ years of leadership experience
  • Expert knowledge of SAP MM/EWM/Ariba functionality
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP MM module
  • SAP/BW knowledge
  • Ability to work on cross functional teams
  • Expert knowledge of Supply Chain processes (creating orders, inventory movements, goods receipts, invoicing, and payment)
  • Ability to create complex SAP and SQL Server reports
  • Database design
  • Advanced in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint)
  • Expert Analytical Skills
  • Strong communication Skills
