Utility Partnerships & Innovation (UPI) is responsible for the creation of transformative, scalable solutions to interlocking utility challenges through the development of third-party partnerships and the deployment of new technology that directly accelerates PG&E’s long-term strategy.  The Electrification & Decarbonization team within UP&I is focused on the development, creation, and implementation of transformative, scalable solutions to drive the vehicle and building electric transition. This includes regulatory, strategy development, stakeholder outreach, and program design, development, management and implementation of various infrastructure, customer incentives, rates, and future programs.

Position Summary

The Expert Program Manager, Building Electrification Programs, is responsible for overseeing the implementation of building electrification program delivery plans, including oversight of the budget, program deliver and energy savings goals, cost effectiveness, program key performance indicators, contracts with 3rd party implementers, ensuring compliance with data privacy mandates and regulatory compliance for building electrification and energy efficiency programs. The building electrification program portfolio includes residential and non-residential resource acquisition, equity, and market support programs delivered by third party implementers. The portfolio includes residential equity and zonal electrification pilots, as well as programs focused on accelerating electrification across commercial and public sectors.

 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The preferred work location is Oakland, CA. 

  

PG&E is providing the full salary/pay range for this position.  The actual amount paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location.  The range to reasonably expect will be between the minimum to the midpoint of the range.  The final decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to the factors above. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs. 

  

Bay Area Minimum: $129,000.00 

Bay Area Midpoint: $168,000.00 

Bay Area Maximum: $207,000.00 

 

Job Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for multiple aspects of a program including, but not limited to:

  •  Manage vendor contract agreement and hold program implementers accountable for contract delivery goals and targets
  • Identify opportunities for program growth and improvement and work toward implementing the necessary changes with the relevant teams and vendor
  • Provide accurate energy savings and financial forecasts based on project delivery and program participant information    
  • Develop efficient processes for data sharing with vendor(s) 
  • Coordinating marketing strategy and deployment with marketing team
  • Coordinate with Building Electrification & Energy Efficiency policy and reporting teams for regulatory updates and reporting
  • Respond to CPUC data requests and other regulatory updates.
  • Manage program documentation, agreements, contracts and invoicing
  • Interact with project database to track and manage projects

 

Job Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in business.
  • 8 years of related experience or equivalent 

 

Desired:  

  • Bachelor’s in business or engineering
  • Strong focus on client and customer satisfaction
  • General knowledge of market barriers and opportunities, end use technologies, building electrification, and energy efficiency for residential and non-residential customers
  • Project Management and Contract Management experience 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and an ability to effectively communicate with leadership 
  • Strong ability to take initiative to work independently to achieve desired results 
  • Experience working cross-functionally to deliver projects with numerous stakeholders 
  • Experience in knowledge management and process improvement projects to further the team 
  • Experience performing analysis on large data sets 
  • Understanding of Evaluation, Measurement and Verification (EM&V) concepts 
  • Management of regulatory compliance, planning, and reporting activities 
  • Knowledge/experience of financing operations, accruals, and analysis 
  • Experience managing budgets and contracts 
  • Comfortable operating or learning to operate internal tracking systems such as SAP, Ariba, Salesforce etc.
