Position Summary

Expert, IT Ariba Functional Analyst configures, implements, maintains and upgrades Ariba products (Buying and Invoicing, Contract Management, Supplier Lifecycle and Performance, Supplier Risk Management and Sourcing), and works closely with SAP ERP application modules (Supply Chain Management, Finance and Work Management). Analyzes business requirements, creates functional design documents and performs system configuration.


PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

 

A reasonable salary range is:

Bay Area Minimum: $126,000

Bay Area Maximum: $200,000

 

This new teammate needs to be able come to Pacific Gas and Electric Company's Oakland headquarters 3 days a week, since all project team is here in person Tuesday to Thursday.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze end-to-end complex business processes and information needs of one or more business functional areas.
  • Understand in detail the current and future business environment of business clients; effectively anticipate, identify, and fully meet business needs using an integrated approach leveraging industries leading practices and Ariba / SAP standard capabilities.
  • Evaluate and document alternatives that provide the most effective solutions to complex business problems.
  • Identify, propose, and influence solutions to complex business problems utilizing Ariba and SAP product capabilities
  • Embrace and promote Fit to Standard mindset within business and project teams.
  • Evaluate custom code solutions to help business and IT understand risks and costs of customizing vs. using standard functionalities; advocate for using standard functionalities to lower future implementation cost and total cost of ownership (TCO) for solutions.
  • Analyze and design solutions independently with minimal guidance on the most complex projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for successful end to end solution designing and implementation.

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • 7 years of Solution implementation experience using Ariba modules: Buying & Invoicing, Contract Management, Supplier Lifecycle and Performance, Supplier Risk Management & Sourcing
  • Proficiency with SAP integrations

 

Desired:

  • Graduate Degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience implementing Service Procurement
  • Ariba certifications
  • Experience working with large cross-functional teams
  • Ability to analyze and design solutions independently with minimal guidance
  • Advanced knowledge and technical competence in ERP concepts, principles, and practices in multiple business areas and ERP modules
  • Demonstrated understanding of Supply Chain business processes and connected business functions
  • Fieldglass service procurement experience
  • Broad supply chain exposure
  • Utility experience
