Department Overview

The Enterprise Service Delivery (ESD) Business Operations team delivers a broad range of expertise and services to drive integrated, cross-organizational solutions for ESD. By providing strategic counsel and program governance, the team helps the organization balance operational strategy, risk, compliance, and continuous improvement. We aspire to build leading programs that enable ESD and PG&E to thrive in their operations.

 

Position Summary

Analyzes processes and utilizes six sigma tools and techniques to develop and recommend operational process improvements. Manages cross functional teams and partners with peers and leaders on process change implementation and ongoing measurement. Manages ongoing process management or administration. Provides business analytics by conducting research, data analysis, metric implementation, forecasting, and reporting in support of business decision making, strategy and operations.

 

The role is hybrid working from your remote office and in-office at the Oakland General Office based on business needs. 

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that can reasonably be expected for this position at the time of the job posting. This salary range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. The decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​ This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.  

 

Pay Range: 

Bay Area:  $122,000 to $173,800 annually.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Completes data analysis and reporting by creating and running database queries and reports.
  • Develops and tracks metrics that provide data for process measurement, business operations or risk assessment and may present findings to leadership.
  • Leads implementation of process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Works on moderately complex problems that require in depth analysis and judgment to obtain results or solutions.
  • Mentors and provide guidance to less experienced colleagues.
  • Monitors and ensures accurate data feeds from multiple sources
  • Supports Lean Six Sigma process improvement projects by carrying out various project tasks such as process mapping, data collection, data analysis, metrics analysis, root cause analysis, documentation under Black Belt guidance.

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 7 years of relevant business, operational, financial, or process improvement experience

 

Desired:

  • Data Analytics certification, or equivalent experience
  • Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent project management certification
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Power BI
  • Ergonomics certification, or similar
