Department Overview 

The Procurement organization is the functional lead for the procurement of materials and services at Pacific Gas and Electric Company. The department collaborates with internal clients and suppliers managing more than $12 billion of annual company spend to develop mutually beneficial total value solutions for goods and services. The department provides the following services to internal clients: procurement of goods and services, strategic sourcing and cost savings, category management, supplier relationship management, supplier diversity planning, execution and outreach, compliance management, ongoing procurement field support and management of the source to pay cycle.

 

Position Summary

The Procurement Director’s Assistant provides administrative support to multiple Directors within the Procurement organization. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive - capable of anticipating needs, resolving scheduling conflicts, and ensuring operational efficiency across the team.

 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work headquarters.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​ This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.  

A reasonable salary range is:​ 

Bay Area Minimum:   $75,000

Bay Ares Midpoint:     $94,000   

Bay Area Maximum:   $113,00    

 

 

Reporting Relationship 

The Director’s Assistant will report to multiple Directors within the Procurement organization.

 

Job Responsibilities

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing calendars, including scheduling meetings, resolving conflicts, and ensuring efficient time management.
  • Coordinating occasional travel arrangements for Directors involving air, hotel, and ground transportation for small to mid-sized groups.
  • Coordinating meetings and conference logistics, primarily held at company facilities.
  • Monitoring expenses to ensure adherence to company policies; prepare and submit expense reports accurately and on time.
  • Assisting in identifying building and asset-related needs; complete and track required forms and follow through on progress.
  • Scheduling meetings for internal employee groups, resolving competing priorities as needed.
  • Working proactively and anticipate the needs of Directors and team to ensure smooth daily operations.

 

 

Background Qualifications

Minimum

  • High School Diploma required
  • 3 or more years of administrative support experience required

  • Bachelors or Associates degree preferred
