Position Summary

 

The Director, Regional Portfolio Planning role manages the program management standards and processes and provision of support functions for all CRESS managed projects. Oversees development of project management best practice processes, standards, and reporting within a center of excellence to successfully deliver business results and value in program and project execution. Support functions include design oversight, project controls and reporting, occupancy planning and relocation management, and processes and standards development.

 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work headquarters in Oakland.

 

 

Reporting Relationship

 

The Director, Regional Portfolio Planning will report to the Senior Director, Corporate Real Estate.

 

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Develops and implements a multi-year plan for the project planning, including strategy, business, financial and operational planning.
  • Engages with lines of business senior leader’s teams as a primary CRESS point of contact and accountability in project planning and execution.
  • Leads the development of capital plans, budget plans and forecasts, including development and implementation of cost efficiency efforts in partnership with finance groups and vendors.
  • Oversees the preparation and maintenance of project documentation: project plans, status reports, change requests, and resource requests.
  • Oversees internal and Service Provider team to write and approve Statement of Work documents outlining all aspects of a project.
  • Identifies risks and proactively finds solutions for project level concerns by leveraging lessons learned from previous projects.
  • Prepares risk mitigation plans for major projects to account for unforeseen delays.
  • Plays a key role in monitoring, managing the performance of vendors as it relates to areas of responsibility. Drives vendor performance, best practices, and methodologies to ensure that objectives are being met.
  • Advises senior management periodically on CRESS status for company long-range planning initiatives. Leads CRESS’ efforts in developing the Company’s General Rate Case.
  • Partners with the Strategy and Workplace teams to ensure strategic planning is integrated with project management plans and aligned with overall corporate strategy.
  • Develops and delivers executive-level presentations.
  • Leads the monitoring, tracking, trending, and reporting process of company-wide performance metrics, ensuring both accuracy of data and timeliness of reports. as well as the Safety & Shared Services “green book” review. • Develops and manages the capital and operating budget for real estate

Compensation

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​

 

A reasonable salary range is:

 

Bay Area Minimum: $170,000

Bay Area Maximum: $290,000

 

 

 

Background Qualifications

 

Minimum

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction, Engineering, Land Planning, Space Design, or a related field.
  • 10 years’ experience in a real estate, design, construction and/or project planning and implementation function.
  • 7 years’ experience in a leadership capacity.

 

Desired

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in management, Construction, or related technical field strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence diverse teams at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability and motivation to lead others, promote a team environment, and coach and mentor professional, senior level staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ability to interact effectively at the senior leader level in presenting the proper strategy and portfolio planning for real estate at PG&E going forward.
