The Information Technology (IT) organization designs, develops, operates and maintains the technology and telecommunications systems that enable PG&E to meet its commitment to providing safe, reliable and affordable service to customers.

 

Position Summary

The primary role of the Business Process Analyst, Associate is to support the implementation and continuous improvement of PG&E's Safety Excellence Management System (PSEMS). This position is a key strategic partner and business liaison, ensuring that safety protocols and processes are effectively integrated into business operations. The Analyst is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and translating safety-related business requirements into detailed specifications and functional solutions. This includes conducting feasibility analyses, defining project scope, and recommending alternative solutions, project strategies, and prioritizing deliverables. The Analyst will work closely with business units to understand their safety needs, validate solutions, and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Conducts standard root cause analysis to identify safety-related issues and works with existing process reports and data to develop solutions.
  • Extracts and analyzes data to populate standard safety reports and metrics.
  • Presents safety data and findings to senior peers or internal clients, ensuring clear communication of insights and recommendations.
  • Monitors and tracks safety metrics to ensure compliance with PG&E's Safety Excellence Management System.
  • Applies basic knowledge and develops professional skills in safety management and business process analysis.
  • Assists other Process Analysts and business clients in analyzing and improving established safety processes, practices, and procedures as directed.
  • Communicates effectively with peers inside and outside of the department, providing information or exchanging data related to safety processes and improvements.
  • Supports the implementation and continuous improvement of safety protocols and procedures across the functional area.
  • Participates in safety audits and inspections to ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​

The salary range for this position is from $66,000 to $98,000

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor of Science in Business, Statistics, Mathematics or related field or equivalent work experience
