Department Overview 

 

  • The Office of the CIO (OCIO) represents the cross-functional IT Management capabilities that enable running the business of IT. The OCIO focuses on supporting IT's operation model by ensuring a consistent, transparent and efficient approach to the way the IT organization delivers value to its partners. The core of the OCIO consists of four areas essential to the long-term success of IT: IT Supplier Office, People Strategy, Strategic Portfolio Operational Excellence and Investment & Regulatory Management. 

 

Position Summary 

 

  • Conducts research, data analysis, budgeting, forecasting and reporting in support of business decision making, strategy and operations. Participates in business process improvement, quality control and other initiatives. Develops, manages and coordinates performance and quality assessment, business process re-engineering, change management, communication and training. 

 

PG&E is providing the hourly rate range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  

  

This is an hourly position. The hourly rate for this position ranges from $35.09 to $52.40. 

 

 

Job Responsibilities 

 

  • Performs standard analysis and works with existing data models 

  • Pulls data to populate standard reports. 

  • Presents data and findings to senior peers or internal clients 

  • Tracks existing metrics 

  • Learning to apply basic knowledge and develop professional skill set 

  • Assist other Business Analysts using established processes, practices and procedures as directed 

  • Communicates with peers inside and outside of the department, providing information or exchanging data 

  • Participates on project teams 

 

 

Qualifications 

Minimum: 

  • Bachelor of Science in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related discipline  

  • Must have a degree conferred by the start date.   

  • Must have permanent authorization to work full time (40 hours a week) in the United States. PG&E will not provide visa or immigration support.   

 

Desired: 

  • Graduating in Fall 2025 or Spring 2026   

  • Qualitative and quantitative analytical skills 

  • Basic knowledge of fundamental analysis 

  • Organizational and prioritization skills 

  • Verbal and written communication skills 

  • Adaptable to changing business conditions and ambiguity 

  • Presentation skills to convey findings to varied audiences 

  • Manage multiple assignments with demanding time constraints 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Project, Visio or similar Software
